I am charming, passionate, and affective.
My Self-Summary
Oh, this is boring...this kind of description never corresponds to
the real person. What somebody thinks of himself is absolutely
irrelevant. Imagine Adolf Hitler writing a self-summary. We would
learn that he loves painting and dogs and the music of
Wagner...wow, what a marvellous guy, many women would think.
But ok., I´m not him.
Once i googled for famous love quotes and i was directed to site
where i found this: "Love is mostly made of curiosity". Nice! It
was Giacomo Casanova who wrote it and after thinking it over I was
convinced that he was right. I love people, especially women and i
am very curious about them. Ok., that´s why i´m here. And what
about details? I love movies, music, books (very important) and all
kinds of activities that do not end up in boreness: photography,
restaurants, travelling and falling in love (when it happens). The
rest is filled with dreams and hopes.
What I’m doing with my life
Life is doing with me ! This is a stupid question. Most people will
numerate things like working, studying etc. But when you talk to
them long enough they will tell you that they want to change their
lives, whatever this means. So the most honest answer would
probably be: I´m changing it
I’m really good at
Listening, inventing stories and jokes, whisteling (really, i can
whistle Charlie Parker), cooking maybe
The first things people usually notice about me
No idea, maybe that i should buy a new shaver sometimes. Otherwise
probably my kindness.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
A lot of them: I love "To Kill A Mockingbird", "The great Gatsby",
"Midnight's Children",the books of Philip Roth, Joseph Roth, D.H
Lawrence and other classics. Actually in the last months i became a
fan of Michael Conelly, yes, just an bestselling thriller writer,
but i love him...got to get thrills in life somewhere.
Movies: This is my playground...Truffaut said once: Who loves
movies loves life...that´s it. Besides, if you want to know if
somebody loves movies, ask him about old black and white movies.
When the answer is negative you know that this person doesn´t
really care about movies. Loving Brad Pitt doesn´t make you a lover
of the seventh art.
What about music? I love madly Musica Popular Brasileira (MPB),
Bossa Nova, Jazz ( the good old Bill Evans and others)), Classical
sometimes, Opera sometimes, R&B
Good food is like good sex, sometimes better. I love everything
from italian to turkish or lebanese...
The six things I could never do without
Does this mean, that without having these things we die? Oh, I hope
that I will never be sentenced to prison:
Going to bed very late
Chocolate
Looking at romantic sundowns
Movies
Books
Taxi
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life...it´s always about life and existential questions. On the
other hand real thinking produces life, it´s not just a biological
state. I avoid thinking too long about how to resolve practical
problems, this is the kind of thinking that leads to despair.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enthusiastic, but only in the beginning. I love to have some phone
conversations with my friends and then to watch a good movie or
going out for a walk or for dinner.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I love to smell a woman´s hair, Ok., i think this doesn´t make me a
pervert and I´m not working in the shampoo industry neither. There
are no private things in times of the internet. When you show your
photo to strangers, tell them what you eat or when you love to have
sex you are exposing yourself. But it´s ok., by that we learn that
we are not as unique as we think.
You should message me if
you don´t have something better to do. Stupid answer, i know, but
in fact nobody SHOULD message me, but it could be interesting for
both..and remember: Life is made of encounters that can determine
the future course of our life. This sounds more dramatic than it
is, but it´s true, it happened in my life several times. One moment
you are stuck in a dusty 1 room apartment in Paris, the other you
find yourself with a wonderful person drinking Caipirinha at
Ipenema beach in Rio. And it all started one October night in Paris
with a simple question: "Do you like the books of Raymond
Chandler?"
Yes, sometimes movies are imitating life.
