My name is Dave first of all. I absolutely love the outdoors... especially stuff like mountain biking, hiking, camping, surfing, snowboarding. You name it I enjoy staying active. I am also a big fan of music, and enjoy pretty much all genres of music. I play guitar and bass guitar as well, and I tend to enjoy playing the blues and rock mostly. I am about to graduate from georgia tech, and am ready to move on to the next stage of my life.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I work for Norfolk Southern, a train company, right now. My plan right now is to continue working for them after I graduate, but I want to hike the Appalachian trail before I settle in at work. I play guitar in a band and never plan on quitting, but I don't plan on my life revolving around it either.

Well honestly the things I am best at I don't like to talk that much about because they are also the things that I am never satisfied with how good I am. There is always room to be better.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Alright I am finally getting to this...

Books: I read mostly philosophy books... I am actually dyslexic but I love to read things that make me think. I don't really ever read for stories. Books I have read recently though include: Hagakure, Metaphysics, the Analects of Confuscious, and the Republic. As you may be able to tell right now I am into eastern philosophy and greek philosophy.

Movies: I prefer good dramas, cheesy horror movies, and cartoons. Recently I have liked The Dark Knight and Kung Fu Panda.

Music: Alright here is the tough one. There is almost no genre of music that I don't like but there are often individual bands that I don't like so much. Let's start with my favorite genre and that is blues. I am a huge fan of blues from the delta blues, chicago blues, 60's blues, and all the way to the contemporary blues coming out new. Blues Artists that I really like include: Robert Johnson, BB King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter, T-Bone Walker, Robert Cray, Muddy Waters, and of course hendrix and Clapton (and recently John Mayer).
Next there is Rock. I like all types of rock from Elvis to Tool. As long as it has a good musical feel to it. Some of my favorite artists are: Incubus, Tool, Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Breaking Benjamin, Collective Soul, Elton John, Metallica (but only the first 4 albums), A Perfect Circle, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers... etc...
Then there is country, which I have only been recently getting into, but I have found that there is alot there I like to listen to. I don't know that much about the genre yet though.
I am also a huge huge huge fan of classical music... Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart, Wagner, and alot more.
Rap, well, not my favorite but there are certain artists I enjoy. It also has its time and place like parties and clubs.
Told you music was going to take a while... I doubt anyone actually will get all the way through my music section.

Food: Alright I absolutely love to eat, and therefore I love to cook. My favorite foods are normally something new... Although I am allergic to shellfish and many fish so I can't eat seafood.
