My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Middle School Teacher. Bad writer. Burgled by methheads in Appalachia. Worshiping the movies here in the cine-mecca.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, or at least smirk.
Forgetting I'm not 5 years old and becoming fascinated with slight things.
Over Analyzing
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Is that I'm early. It's a compulsion. But not nearly as bad as it used to be. I relish being on time, and secretly adore being late.

My mustache. If its around. (currently in season)

I love cinema (obviously, right? I call it cinema...oy), and am probably considered a bit of a snob aside from the occasional guilty pleasure, and if you ask I'll ramble on and on about this and that, but if I put a few of my favorites here, I'd have to change it tomorrow - and the next day - and the next, blahblahblah. And but Rohmer, Anderson (Wes and PT), Kubrick, Jarmucsh, Allen, Herzog but more so Wenders, Joachim Trier, to name a few.

music for me is even harder to judge - but it's easier to list a few things that rotate in my head: The Tallest Man on Earth, Bob Dylan, The Replacements, Orange Juice, Fleet Foxes, Broken Social Scene, The Arcade Fire, M83, Jeremy Jay, Nina Simone, Otis Redding, Belle and Sebastian, New Order

Books! Books? I love David Foster Wallace and Kurt Vonnegut. Iris Murdoch is my new thing. My favorite book though I think is Moon Palace, probably. Yeah. I just read Train Dreams, which was good. What makes the Russians so good? The Master and Margarita! That's a trip. OH! And Tatyana Tolstoya wrote the best short stories I've ever read, Russian and beyond. Richard Brautigan is a favorite author of mine and NOT just because his name is fun to say. I also dig Woody Allen's short stories (I read ALL of them on a train from Holland to Sweden after gobbling them up impulsively at a used book store. They used to belong to a fellow named Runcl Klop according to the front jackets, and he had excellent penmanship).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
People, things to read, conversations to have, places to go, birdsong, the woods.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Olden times (I studied history)

Why people are the way the are.
Which direction am I facing?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Early on, drinking a lot of coffee, so I don't succumb to that 5am wake up. After that, who knows.

I come across as slightly cognizant, interesting, and to your liking. Especially that last bit.

Or if you too like the word cognizant. God that's a nice word. Safari too. And gauche. I literally jumped up with joy the other day when I realized, that after knowing someone for over a year now, gauche was the perfect way to describe them (endearingly of course!)
