This list is too long, but in general I'm familiar with the
classics and some philosophy oriented text. (Shakespeare, Kafka,
Virginia Woolf, etc.) I've also just finished Murakami's Kafka on
the Shore and I'm working on Capote's In Cold Blood now.
I tend to gravitate towards horror, animation, or things with
surreal imagery. Stuff by Welles, Kubrick, Coppola, Gaspar Noe,
Frankenheimer, Croenberg, Kurosawa, Lynch, Fellini, Woody Allen,
Satoshi Kon, Miyazaki, the Coen brothers, Tarkovsky, Wong Kar Wai,
Park Chan Wook, and too many others.
Oh and I don't remember who directed Space Jam, but it's the
greatest movie ever.
Breaking Bad, Sherlock, Wilfred, Dexter, Twin Peaks, Evangelion,
Adventure time, and pretty much any 90's cartoon/music video.
I have a special soft spot for ambience
and contemporary classic
. Sometimes it's indie
stuff like Beirut, Sufjan Stevens, and Sigur Ros, and sometimes
it's hip hop like Kanye, Nujabes, Wu-Tang clan and such. Also jazz,
swing, and bossa nova
. Also also jpop. Not even
embarrassed about it.
Coffee. Because of how much I drink, I've been likened to Agent
Cooper from Twin Peaks, except I'm not an agent and my name's not
I am trying to switch back to tea with mixed results.
