Down to earth girl with a dash of sweetness. Originally from Austin, TX but fell in love with Nor Cal almost 10 years ago and consider it my home now. In no particular order; I love life lessons, travel, friends, music, art, dance and the outdoors. I aspire to do at least one of those a day! I consider everyone innocent until proven guilty. I snort sometimes when I laugh. I'm horrible at remembering band albums/songs etc... which is a real bummer cause I wish I could!! I'm a half glass full gal and like to be around similar minded folk. I enjoy big gatherings, hosting parties and enjoying living in the moment during those times.

I just finished serving 2 years as an Americorps member teaching in east Oakland (art and literacy) to elementary aged students! Exhuasting job but rewarding days. Now, I'm attending SF State to get my teaching credential to officially be an art teacher says the state of CA.

Making brunch on Sundays .... or picking out a Brunch spot! Organizing camping trips, spinning things on the positive side, having immense patience and finding beauty all around us.

Movies: I'm usually a comedy, action, indie, documentary, romantic comedy, mystery kinda girl!

Food: I love Tex-Mex, Thai, Sushi, Indian, Italian ..American fusion! I just started a garden...getting into that local/seasonal foods. If you have food, wine and friends in one location - life is great ;) Food brings people together..how could you not be in love with all types of cuisine.

I think about my next travel destination. I think about our education system here in the US. I day dream. I ponder about life. I think about my grocery list. I assume occasionally. Why does time fly when you have fun?

Meeting up with friends at a new restaurant/bar. Or driving to Yosemite for a weekend camping trip. Or attempting a new recipe to try out. Or being low key and watching a movie. Or passed out by 10pm because my students have absorbed all my energy. Anything and everything ;)
