What I’m doing with my life
Happy to let you know it all but am closing myself up a bit on here.
I’m really good at
Spotting the elephant in the room.
Playing devil's advocate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I could hazard a guess, but to be honest I bet it's different for every single person that looks at me or talks to me and it's refreshing when it's something most people overlook. I find that intriguing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anna Karenina
War and Peace
Life of Pi - This is NOT a cutesy story about a tiger, more a gore fest!
Just reading the last Harry Potter - I know about Dobby, am bracing myself for it. Have now read it :(

The Ring - "I'm not your f...ing mummy" mommy if you are American
Dark Victory - love Bette Davis
The Rebel - Tony Hancock - dead at 44 - WTF

Countryfile - never mean to watch it but when it's on in the background I love it, the animals are so cute. Cows are beautiful there's no arguing with that. I hugged one once and fell in love, that's how fragile my emotions can be with the right cow.

Restoration Man - George Clarke

The Firm - a modern classic, it's bloody good in so many ways, Tom Cruise is timeless.

Fight Club - so not what I was expecting, never seen the end though!

The Elephant Man - I don't do random hugging but I think he could do with one.

The Cure
The Killers
Anything heady if you know what I mean
The six things I could never do without
My two boys
My high heels
The use of all of my body (I'd struggle to cope without parts of it and I'm very independent, so could not rely on others).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I believe in fate, something will find a way if it's meant to happen.

Too much really, I like to zone out, mindfulness is the way to go.
On a typical Friday night I am
Best answer I've seen to this: The same person I am every other night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Anything to the right person in my life, If you really want to know. I won't tell unless you ask though. And vice versa, if I don't ask I really don't want to know.

I'm not a package I am an individual person, my relationships are separate from other people in my life. I'm not looking for a family man to take up my kids, the opposite in fact.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 30–48
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You stimulate me mentally, it makes the physical much more intense. Bit of a must for me. Apparently that's called sapiosexual. I didn't know it had a label. Any other labels I'm not too keen on. But I can accept that one, it has a nice connotation.

Someone said to me he thought it meant hugging trees. That in itself is lovely - so if you like hugging trees we'll get on too :)

If sex is all you want to talk about we'll crash and burn pretty quickly. I like a mental/emotional connection with someone or I get bored. Throw the sex in there and that's perfection.

I think I know what I don't want, what I do doesn't fit any of these boxes, it just fits.
