My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
An honest, accurate and eye catching self description? Boy this is going to be a challenge.

I am a 22 year old student, smack dab in the middle of planning and preparing for the future. I am trying to become an indie video game developer with the ultimate goal of becoming an auteur. I dabble a lot in programming, pixel art and game design, and I am quite serious about it.

I am also a huge nerd at heart. Now, for the few of you who are still around after that statement, I am into video games, anime, manga and the like. I could also imagine liking board games, roleplaying, cosplay, scifi/fantasy literature and such, but I have never really had the time to try it out. Real shame, I know.

I am not much of a party animal, preferring to stay at home or over at friend's house. I generally do not feel at home in a crowd, unless I share the same interest with most of them, such as at a convention. I can also be a bit pragmatic at times with things, such as money.
On the bright side, I am quite friendly and supportive of friends and people I like (Oooh, cliché!). I also have a sense of humor. Hopefully the kind that people like.

Oh, and about the shades. Old habits die hard.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I am studying full-time to become a Master of Science in Engineering, Information Technolgy, International Program Japan, at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Phew, that is a mouthful.
I am currently on the third year out of five, and as the title suggest, I will have the honor of studying my fifth year in Japan, something which I look forward to.

I also spend a great deal of time programming/designing/drawing my own indie computer game. Started out four years ago and going stronger than ever.

Between school and the project, there is not much time left for much else, though I try to stay in touch with my friends and to cultivate my game library in between.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have survived up to the third year in college and at the same time managed to work on an entire massive programming project solo. I can confidently say that when I put my heart into it, rain or sunshine, I go through with it.

I am also quite a techy guy, though mostly on the software front. In general, I dare say that I am somewhat intelligent, though I guess everything is relative.

I am rapidly becoming a better programmer, and I also have a knack for pixel art and game design. Skills you might wanna have when you want to get into the business.

I am also quite knowledgeable in my fields of nerdiness, but let us not delve too far into that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair tends to stand out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Have not read much nor watched that many movies. Mostly focused on other areas, though I could definitively find something I like there.

As for shows, I am quite into anime such as Death Note, Bakuman, Code Geass or more comical pieces such as Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann or Azumanga Daioh. A bit of an omnivore really.

When it comes to music, I tend to favor different kinds of metal. While I despise growl, screamo, and the like, I really love most forms, be it speedy, heavy, symphonic or electronic. I am especially a big fan of Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Nightwish and the like. Even bigger fan of Japanese Doujin (Read indie) bands such as Crow's Claw, Demetori, Xi-On, Saitama Saisyu Heiki, etc.

Aside from metal, I can listen to a little of everything, Chiptunes, electronic, you name it. I listen mostly to instrumental and prefer melodic, catchy pieces.

Food... Well, aside from my huge array of allergies (Among them chocolate, nuts, seafood) I can go with most things that's not too spicy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Video Games - This one should be obvious by now.

The information Society - With our phones, computers and the Internet, we're all basically psychics. I would rather keep it that way.

Metal - Speed, noise, steel and fire, that is what heart desire.

Friends - Cliché all the way, but it is true and it helps pad this list.

Humor - A world without would be quite dry.

Dreams for the future - I know you are getting tired of clichés, but this one also holds true. My wish to become a great game developer is what keeps my gears running.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how to improve my various game making skills, and the different options I have to get into the business.
And uh, how it would be nice to have someone to share interests, dreams and all that with, but I guess that is why I am here in the first place.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either working on my project or recovering from a tough week, at home or over at a friend's.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a really soft spot for hard video games, especially retro. As in hard enough to be considered suicide.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you are even remotely interested, give it a try. Chances are that if you write something that is more than one or two lines long, I will respond. If you are sitting and hoping that I contact you first, there is a good chance that you will pass under my radar.

Bonus points if you are a nerd yourself (Not necessarily in the same areas). Extra bonus points if you can understand how it feels to be 110% committed to something you really love to do.
