My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Soooo, I'm back on here after a good year away. To celebrate, I have uploaded a bunch of NEW pics (we all looked fabulous when we were younger, but I don't think our dating galleries should be memory lanes because, honey, we don't look like that no more).

Anyway... ME. Creative. Dreamy. Analytic. Empathetic. Aware. Appreciative. Convicted enough to use adjectives like this about myself.

Also not remotely interested in "the Gay Scene", because I think it turns being a trainwreck into a cultural norm.

Heading to New York in July.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
So a year ago, I left inner-Sydney and the advertising scene, and moved to quieter Newcastle where I manage the international marketing and communications for the university (but I still spend lots of time in Sydney, so I'll happily message people from either area). I'm enjoying not feeling like I have to dress up to buy a carton of milk, I've stopped being a gym bunny, and I very much like being connected to nature (I live a few blocks from the ocean and love it). I do miss things being open at night, and the twinkle of the lights, and the feeling of humanity swirling around me. But over all, it was a good idea. I've just signed another 12 month contract, so... here I stay for now.

I'm also very active in creative projects outside of my main work. At the end of the day, I'm a writer. I also make music. And I've been lucky enough to be able to do these professionally; but neither are they confined to work.

Having said that, I'm in a period where I also give a lot to my career, and enjoy giving it. Actually, I'm a bit of a workaholic. But I clash with people who hang their entire identity upon their business card, and I don't judge others by their jobs or salaries. I know a lot of successful people who are really quite painful, and I know a lot of waiters who are beautiful souls.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hmmmm.... making nachos... also, that bit in trivia where you have to guess the song they're playing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Wow, you're really tall."
"Wow, you're eyes are really blue."
"You're not afraid to say what you think, are you?!"

some music I love

Film... pretty much anything by David Lynch... likewise, Haneke... Most of Von Trier... I so loved Shame, and then found 12 years a huge Hollywoodish bore... Nashville (the Altman film, not the TV series)... Basic Instinct... um... Xanadu?

Books... I tend to read non-fiction, these days.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Creativity... the ocean... love... my cats (yes, I just admitted to that)... rollercoasters... and, um... nachos.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking. About lots of things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Tired from work. But I'm lots of fun on Saturdays!
