My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a man continually in the pursuit of the soulful--whether it's in my relationships, my work and art, or my fun. I'm very much a modern man with a lot of old school values; dignity, honor and integrity matter a hell of a lot to me, even if there's little that's conventional about me.

I'm a dirty sweet champion of chivalry who knows an amazing woman when I encounter one and knows how to treat her accordingly. I love real and loathe pretentious; reality, not theory; style, not trends; Goddesses, not princesses.

Rome, New Orleans, Paris, Brooklyn, Northern California and Burning Man (yes, Burning Man) are the places on earth that I feel most at home. I laugh often--deeply, irreverently, sometimes profanely, and I can find the humor in practically anything. And while I can be cynical about some things, I'm never cynical about the transformative power of love. Even when it hurts.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Building my career as a commercial, fashion, fetish and fine art photographer after many years in the music business. Enjoying a wonderfully loving new relationship. Nurturing my connection to an ever-growing community of incredible people out west. Growing myself spiritually. Learning how to ski. Getting fit after a year of family stress hell. Maturing as a man while remaining very young at heart. Finding the beauty and humor in as much of everything as possible, even (and especially) in the dark stuff. Dancing. Moving my body and moving energy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...making images, listening, shooting pool, being there for my people, making the woman I adore feel beautiful and cared for, driving (especially a stick shift), choosing friends, kissing, sensing light and shadow, dealing with a crisis, knowing when to keep my mouth shut, hugging, compiling a soul mix, seeing through bullshit, explaining why Louboutins are far superior to Jimmy Choos, sensing energy, knowing when to lead, knowing when to follow and knowing when to walk together.
The first things people usually notice about me

My energy. The kindness of my eyes and my dimple. And the very mischievous twinkle in my eye.

Let's just say life would be significantly less beautiful without the following: The Rolling Stones, Coleman Hawkins, Philip Roth, photo books by Walker Evans, Larry Sultan and Eugene Richards, Bruce Springsteen, "Dusty In Memphis," Joan Didion's "Slouching Towards Bethlehem," Aretha Franklin, Count Basie, Lee Burridge, Hunter S. Thompson, anything with Monica Bellucci, Raymond Carver, "Casablanca," David Halberstam, Sex Pistols, Taschen erotica, Otis Redding, Woody Allen, Duke Ellington, "The Godfather," Pavement, Al Green, Robert Caro's books on LBJ, Frank Sinatra, Candi Staton, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, "The Great Gatsby," Hemingway's short stories, "The Little Prince," "Dr. Strangelove," and last but certainly not least, "Young Frankenstein." Andrew Sullivan's blog is a mandatory everyday read.

If you find this half as beautiful as I do, we might stand a chance:

Loving this might help, too: (It gets particularly great at around the 2hr15min mark.)

Food: Anything made with love. Except raisins. I hate raisins. Bad experience when I was 4. I never got over it.

Almost Definite Dealbreakers: You passionately loving the Dave Matthews Band, Broadway musicals and/or Ayn Rand. I find them each to be somewhere in between horrible and insufferable, and in my experience, they signify a major lack of compatibility. No judgments, we're just almost definitely not a match.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A good, 70's style vintage leather jacket.
A top of the line Nikon.
Air Conditioning
A connection to Spirit, Magic, and Soul.
A future with some fun in it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Creating a signature style of photography.

Future marriage and children.

Loved ones.

Sex, sexuality, poly and kink.

How to continually open and live from my heart.

Living on purpose.

How to navigate a post-modern world when I don't really care much for post-modernism.

The possibility of living somewhere other than NYC.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Avoiding the amateurs, wherever they may be.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

My father died in November of 2014. (On my birthday, no less.) We were very, very close; he raised me from the time my mother died when I was 6. It was his time to go (he was 87), but as you can imagine, it's been an interesting few months.
