My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a man continually in the pursuit of the soulful--whether it's in my relationships, my work and art, or my fun. I live to be wonderful for the people I adore and to be there when they need me most--without judgments.

I'm a dirty sweet champion of chivalry who knows an amazing woman when I encounter one and knows how to treat her accordingly. I love smart and loathe pretentious; reality, not theory; style, not trends; Goddesses, not princesses.

Rome, New Orleans, Paris, Northern California and Burning Man (yes, Burning Man) are the places on earth that I feel most at home. (New York used to be on that list, but my relationship with the city is changing these days.) I laugh often--deeply, irreverently, and sometimes profanely, and I'm a hell of a lot funnier in person, even when I'm being a wiseass. (And sometimes, especially when I'm being a wiseass.) I'm a very good man to have along for the ride and I've been around the block a time or two. And while I can be cynical about some things, I'm never cynical about the transformative power of love. Even when it hurts.

To make it very simple, I'm just looking for my best friend who I can be really fucking sweet and loving with in the pursuit of building an ever more amazing life together. And to whom I can also make a very large contribution to her shoe collection.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Building my career as a commercial, fashion, fetish, burlesque and fine art photographer after many years in the music business. Making a beautiful home for myself in Brooklyn after almost two decades in the East Village. Being there for my father as he deals with being 87. Developing my connection to Spirit. Creating my financial future. Finding the beauty and humor in as much of everything as possible, even (and especially) in the dark stuff. Continually evolving.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...making images, driving (especially a stick shift), hugs, listening, shooting pool, naming that tune, making the woman I adore feel beautiful, distinguishing the real in any situation, finding the humor in anything and everything, choosing friends, compiling a soul mix, seeing through bullshit, lighting, being decadent, reading energy, knowing when to be good and knowing when to be bad.

My presence. The kindness of my eyes and my dimple. And the very mischievous twinkle in my eye.

Let's just say life would be significantly less beautiful without the following: The Rolling Stones, Coleman Hawkins, Philip Roth, photo books by Walker Evans, Larry Sultan and Eugene Richards, Bruce Springsteen, "Dusty In Memphis," Joan Didion's "Slouching Towards Bethlehem," Count Basie, Lee Burridge's set at Robot Heart in 2013, Hunter S. Thompson, anything with Monica Bellucci, Raymond Carver, "Casablanca," Sex Pistols, Taschen erotica, Violator, Woody Allen, Diana Ross, Duke Ellington, "The Godfather," Pavement, Al Green, Frank Sinatra, Candi Staton, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, "The Great Gatsby," Def Jam 1984-1994 box set, Hemingway's short stories, "The Little Prince," "Dr. Strangelove," and last but certainly not least, "Airplane." Andrew Sullivan's blog is a mandatory everyday read.

If you find this half as beautiful as I do, we might stand a chance:

Loving this might help, too:

Food: Anything made with love. Except raisins. I hate raisins. Bad experience when I was 4. I never got over it.

Almost Definite Dealbreakers: You passionately loving the Dave Matthews Band, Broadway musicals and/or Ayn Rand. I find them each to be somewhere in between horrible and insufferable. No judgments, we're just almost definitely not a match.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A good, vintage leather jacket.
A good camera.
Innuendo, preferably salacious.

Love & Soul.
A future with some fun in it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to continually open and follow my heart.

Creating a signature style of photography.

Leaving New York to move to the West Coast.

Sex and sexuality.

Where I want to adventure with my new bicycle.

Falling head-over-heels, crazy in love with the right woman and creating true partnership.

How to navigate a post-modern world when I don't really care much for post-modernism.

How to decorate my new apartment.
On a typical Friday night I am

Avoiding the amateurs, wherever they may be.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm very much a Scorpio.
