I'm into nearly all things music, playing pool, swimming in pools (or oceans, but not so much lakes) and spending quality time with my puppy (who is actually 7). I am getting back into martial arts after a seven year hiatus and I'm pretty embarrassed at how out of shape I am. I like to sing really loudly in my car, and see if I can get people stopped at traffic lights to sing along if I'm singing something they might know. You would be surprised how often it works. I like messaging random people through the site if I'm bored and can't sleep. I love NPR, I think it makes me a far better driver. I just recently listened to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me for the first time; I totally get the appeal now. I don't actually dislike cats, I'm severely allergic, so if you have them, I'm allergic to you too. Nothing personal.
As for the person I'm looking for, education is pretty important to me, possibly because I've spent 22 years of my life in school, so if you haven't finished college, the odds are against you. I've been told this sounds completely judgmental, but I figure we all set our cutoffs somewhere, and for me, they're mostly centered on education, so it's better to be upfront. There are just as many people who judge me for putting on weight, so how is that different? I also believe in the match percentages, so if we are less than an 80% match, we probably differ on some pretty critical issues and I probably won't respond.
I hate internet speak with a fiery passion, nothing causes quite as visceral a reaction as use of the term "lol" or using "u" for "you." Just why? I can tell from the number of people who use this (often inappropriately, why would you laugh out loud after asking how someone is doing?) that most people stopped reading my profile several paragraphs back. Understandable, it's long.
