My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love biking/walking the ravine systems around the city and beyond. I am physically active and work out pretty much every day. I adore traveling and have seen much of the world though business or personal travel. My favorite recent vacations have been bike trips (Loire Valley in July 2013, Bordeaux in 2010 and Tuscany in 2001) although for me there is nothing like spending time with friends on the beach at Lake Huron or the Bay of Quinte in the summer. I am a mad reader and belong to a book club. I have a relatively demanding job so finding extra time is not always easy but I do aspire to try a new sport in the next year (rowing or rock climbing maybe??), volunteer more, do more yoga and enlarge my social circle.

I am the proud mother of a 18 year old, a strong proponent of human rights, a loyal friend and a passionate person. I am a CBC radio listener and tend to have an ipod full of classic rock but I also often download new and different music as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting sh*t done. As a single mother and manager for many years I know how to get stuff done. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
TV: Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Shameless, Downton Abbey, BBC Sherlock, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Flight of the Concords (sounds like I watch a lot of tv! but this is pretty much the only tv I watch)
Books: currently reading "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt ; just finished "Annabel " by Kathleen Winters. Lined up: " If No one Speaks of Remarkable Things" by Jon McGregor and "The Luminaries" by Eleanor Catton

Love going to see movies often! Hollywood or art-house or docs: all good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
friends/fam (obvi)
my bike
green space
a sense of humour
soy milk americano mistos
i-stuff (mac/phone)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
At the moment what I want the next decade to look like for me. Hopefully it will include: successfully "launching" my child to university and beyond, focusing of health/fitness, socializing with loved ones, traveling, working overseas on a short term basis, volunteering for a green or social justice cause.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...well last Friday night i was at a BBQ party for a colleague who is departing the workplace. Typically: meet a friend for a glass of wine in our local pub and/or go for a late work out at the 24-hour goodlife.
