My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Still a work in progress. In the meantime know that I can be pretty coolio or dorky depending on your sensibilities. I like gardens, sunshiny days by the beach, good books, music (i play the violin), playing squirt guns with my 7 year old daughter and her friends, making smiles, and relaxing in a hammock. Oh and bonfires under the stars are pretty terrific as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to maneuver thru it to the best of my abilities ;) I am a full time momma to a fabulously marvelous currently 7 year old girl. Ultimately I try to be the best momma I can be. I also Play violin for fun and am starting up a funky quartet/band. To pay the bills I work as an ICU nurse every other weekend. Went to massage therapy school last year and am now trying to start up something with that. Outdoor fun, good company, cooking, yoga, and playing music are all things. I try not to get too charged up about life's daily catastrophes and enjoy the good moments that come my way. Mostly just trying to enjoy it all and soak it all in.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
*violin and bow
*friends and family to have fun and play music with
*good food (sushi being a guilty pleasure of mine)
*Humboldt Fog cheese and crusty french bread (ok I know this is included in the good food category but, truly I can't live or at least live happily with this cheese. it is really damn good
*live theatre/movies (I have a masters in directing live theatre. I like anything from shakespeare to christopher durang. jim jarmusch to romero. I saw a fascinating documentary about horror films. that horror films are a reflection of the changes taking place in our society.
*laughter (in any form. without laughter life can get pretty damn dreary)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
enjoying a fun movie night with my kidlet or at friends enjoying some good food and wine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
that I am addicted to watching Once upon a time and even though it is a bit over the top and cheezy... I love the cheezy and it's so fairy tale twists and turns. I love the fact that peter pan is a maniacal over indulged self absorbed pre-teen that kidnaps children who utter "I believe" ... I think the twist is nicely poetic.
