My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Because first impressions are so important, I will preface by saying that my profile name has nothing to do with who I am.

I am somewhere between a spiritual ace and a lover of emotions, good, bad and ugly. Incidentally, I am also "ace." Romance is ridiculously important to me, but the form it takes almost doesn't even matter.

There's no way I could ever provide an up front and personal synopsis of myself in this little space, but I've been described as "verbose," "responsible," "level-headed," and occasionally "irrational." Take from that oxymoron what you will, that's me in three brief paragraphs.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently studying to become an English teacher of grades 6-12. I believe in constructivism in the classroom, and in respecting the language a student brings with him when he goes to school. I plan on bringing this belief and my skills to the table, and giving students the best of myself so that they can make the best of themselves.

My studies will not end after my bachelors degree, but will continue on to one or two masters, all in English.

I plan on living in NYC for life, with short livings in other countries while I learn their languages. I aim to learn, within my teaching years, at least Spanish and Russian, in that order.

While I aim to be financially secure, acquiring wealth is not a primary goal of mine. That's about all I can reasonably say in this space.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Philosophy. That's number one. I am especially good at moral and religious philosophy, but also have a slight bent in philosophy of psychology and mind.

I am, at once, a faith Christian and a spiritualist. My views on religion and faith don't usually mesh with the church view. I am, however, a strong supporter of separation of church and state - especially in social justice matters. This influences my philosophical thinking.

Other things I am good at, however, are working with people, learning, arguing, baking, cooking - especially seasoning, and academics.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People first notice my height. I don't particularly like how tall I am, but I'm 6' 2" and a lot of people notice it. People often notice that I always seem to be in a good mood, and that I talk well. There isn't too much else that's been brought to my attention.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite books are, in no particular order, Beloved, by Toni Morrison; Mossflower and Redwall, by Brian Jacques; No-No Boy by John Okada; Call It Sleep by Henry Roth; Dracula by Bram Stoker; Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya; How Proust Can Change Your Life by Alain De Botton and Babette's Feast by Isak Dinesen.

About half of the books I read end up becoming my favorites. I generally have a lot of luck with books.

I'm also into short stories. To name a few, The Yellow Wallpaper, A Good Man Is Hard to Find and The Ones Who Walk Away from the Omelas.

My favorite bands and artists are Nightwish, Billy Talent, Yoko Kanno, t.A.T.u., Rammstein, A Perfect Circle, Machinae Supremacy, Maroon 5, Gorillaz, Abney Park and Gnarls Barkley. I also like some Hip-hop, Reggaetón and some Electronica, but not particular bands.

As for movies, I have way too many favorites. But my number one favorite, as of now, is The Fifth Element.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My loved ones
2) Daily structure
3) A plan
4) A computer
5) Sunlight
6) Spirituality
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. I think about everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At my friend's house, or bike riding with a friend, or on the computer, or doing some creative writing. Usually something with someone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Oh, hell, I'm very private until I meet someone, and then I'm only half-private. It takes a while for me to completely open up.
