My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an outgoing and talkative guy, who enjoys a deep love of books, film, and theater. I enjoy intellectual conversation and am always intrigued by what people are passionate about and what it says about them.

I used to have a lot more written here, but I've grown to think that it's more fun to learn about people, and have them learn about me, from direct interaction, rather than a block of text.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do electrical and lighting work for film right now, though I hope to one day write and direct my own films.

I have had a couple of questions regarding what my work in film entails. To clarify: I setup lights on set, arrange electrical effects, and organize power distribution for films. Mostly, however, I carry heavy things. 60% of my job arranging power distribution revolves around putting 100 feet of cable, weighing roughly 100-130 lbs. and designed with the diameter of a redbull can, onto my shoulder and charging up a hill or around a set.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
You'll see for yourself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm relaxed in social settings and I'm not afraid to start up a conversation or get up in front of a group of people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite Books? Far, far too many to name, but I am partial to The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon, Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein, and just about anything by Peter David or Chuck Palanhiuk.

Favorite Movies? The Princess Bride, The Truman Show, The Fifth Element, Serenity, (500) Days of Summer, Sunshine, Fight Club, Back to the Future, and many others.

Favorite Shows? Just about anything by Joss Whedon or Tim Minear (Firefly, Angel, Pushing Daises, etc.), Falling Skies, Wilfred, Burn Notice, Archer, The Venture Brothers, and a few others.

Music? Again... *far* too many to name, but I love Enigma, Daft Punk, David Guetta, Owl City, Sarah Bareilles, and many others.

I don't really have any favorite foods, it just depends on whatever I'm craving.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Friends
2. Something to read.
3. Movies. I love the medium of film for storytelling.
4. Music. I have some running through my head when nothing's playing.

Hmmm... I'll have to think about what other things I can't do without. Honestly... not much. Always be ready to change. Only the first thing on this list do I really *need* to be happy and whole.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sometimes I head out with friends, sometimes I have a gathering at my place, and sometimes I just stay in. It all depends on the Friday and who I'm sharing it with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have teared up during every Pixar movie save Cars 2. Edit: And, now, Monster's University! That said, the new breed of Pixar-style Disney films like Tangled and Frozen are making up for it.
