My self-summary
Someone once said " dont try to be a great man, just be a man. and let history make it's own judgement" And if you can name what movie that came from, then we're off to a good start.
What I’m doing with my life
I just finished with my freshman year of college, and I want to get a degree in Creative Writing. I'm currently finishing the spring 2014 semester. I work part time at Rural Metro as an EMT. I was in the Active Duty Army as a medic for five years, I spent one tour in Iraq, and am now in the Indiana National Guard.
I’m really good at
I enjoy writing science fiction, and hope to make a few noteworthy contributions to the genre. I have a series of books published on Amazon called The Thin Line of Life, we're about half way done with the fourth installment. Lately I've been looking into seeing all that life has to offer, reading poetry, going to gun ranges, going for walks downtown.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm funny and can make a whole room full of people laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I grew up in a comic book store, so I'm a big fan of geek culture, comic books, science fiction movies and books.

I love Doctor Who and just discovered a show called Caprica. I think I had a huge smile when i found out there was going to be a fourth season of Arrested Development.

I think my second favorite movie is Crazy Stupid Love, because it has so many layers to it. On the surface of the movie its a simple ensemble love story, but when i watch it again i pick up the great subtext.
Of course my favorite movie is Rocky 6, cause its awesome.

Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favorite writers. If you deconstruct the Raven, the plot itself is just a guy who misses his wife chasing a bird around his house. A lot of what he writes is style over substance, but oh my god what style it is. His words are like a fine gourmet meal, where the whole experience is based on the taste of the words and not the story. His words are like discovering food for the first time. I cant read them enough.

I'm not really a sports guy. My dad had the shop in the 90's, so i have a general knowledge of sports teams, but really its not my bag.
The six things I could never do without
1. My dog
2. Strikingly Handsome good looks
3. Sense of humor
4. My car
5. my kindle
6. my awesome downtown apartment.
On a typical Friday night I am
either dressed up fancy on the town or watching a good movie on netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i am a tremendous flirt.

I like Nickleback. there, i said it...

Mostly, I'm just looking for cool people to hang with, like gym partners or maybe a adventure buddy, to the theater or laser tag. ( dear god YES laser tag) If we meet, and it clicks, then that great. But honestly right now I would like to have a new adventure bro of the lady persuasion. Relationship will develop in due time.

Also If you know where a burlesque club in Indianapolis is, I have always wanted to see one of those shows.

You have a job or are in school.

You have a car.

You're fun, into nerdy stuff, and have interesting hobbies.

You're outgoing. I couldn't hang with someone who didn't like to explore.

You want to go to the toy isle in wal mart and have a light saber fight.

You are at least interested in fitness. I'm not the most in shape guy in the world, but i go to the gym three times a week and i'd expect you to do the same, or at least care about your health.

Lastly, if you want to meet up for a drink! I'm the sort of guy who loves to do stuff at random, find new people and sit there and talk to them for hours. Lets skip the days of emailing and maybe/maybe not texting, lets go grab coffee and see what happens.
