A little about me...
I would describe myself as easy going and laid back in my personal life. In my professional life, I am definitely an ambitious go-getter. I work hard, but when the work is done, I leave the stress behind.
I love to laugh, so a good sense of humor is important to me. If you like television shows such as "The Family Guy," "The Simpsons," "Southpark," and/or "Monty Python," we are on the same page.
As for why I am here... I have been single for 9 years now. During the past 9 years, I worked on defining who I am and what I really want out of life. I took a job in California for a couple of years during that time, and that was the best decision of my life. I went to a place where I had no friends or acquaintances, and the job I had there put me in a total sink or swim situation professionally. This situation helped me to grow personally. I stayed out of any serious relationships during this time; this gave me the time to analyze what I had to offer in a relationship and decide what I really wanted in a mate. Now I am just looking for someone who has the qualities that I seek, and that wants the qualities that I have to offer.

I am taking time off from my professional life so I can finish college. I worked very hard for nearly twenty years, and I decided it was time to return to college and earn a degree. I still do some independent consulting to pay the bills, but I am mostly focused on college. I will graduate next year. As for my home life, I don't really do much other than read, play the guitar, and play World of Warcraft.

Outside of work or school, I guess the things I am best at are playing the guitar and singing. That is not to say that I am great at either but I do entertain myself.

I am rather curious about this one... I have no idea what people usually notice.

I love to read, so there are many books I love. My favorite writer is Ayn Rand; her books are always at the top of my list. I also love Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Stephen King, Christopher Moore, and Thomas Hardy.
As for movies, I have many that I love... a brief list - "Sling Blade," "O Brother Where Art Thou," "Team America World Police," "Bad Santa," anything sci-fi, and the list just goes on.
Where music is concerned, I love anything that is not rap. As a guitar player I lean toward classic rock, blues, and older country music, but I love all types of music.
My favorite food is Mexican. Also, I have never met a red wine that I didn't like.

Great books, a guitar, laughter, intellect, my computer, and time to think.

Millions of random thoughts go through my head all at once. I think about what makes things work, what would make a cool storyline for a book I might write, what chord am I hearing in that song on the radio, did I miss the new "Southpark" episode tonight, will I ever meet that special someone...etc.

Usually playing Warcraft online with some friends; the game is really just an excuse for my group of friends from around the country to get online and talk to each other all at once.

I just want to love someone who loves me back.
