I tend to be on the sweet/shy side when anyone meets me for the first time. Those who get to know me, however, know that the sweet stays by the shy goes away. I love to laugh and find the humor in most situations. I also tend to be a little bit of a fandom geek. LotR, Pirates, Robin Hood BBC, Firefly = I'm a fan. I also go to Renaissance faires - yes I own the costume complete with bodice. I look good in it too. :)

But I can be serious too. I care a lot about taking care of the people who matter to me. I'm close to my friends and family. I can bake better than I can cook. But making someone a meal is a great expression of caring.

I'm a romantic at heart. I am such a sucker for love notes, roses, and simple gestures that convey feelings. These things aren't vital to life, but they're real nice.

I'm currently in school getting my teaching credential. Unfortunately, the economy had problems after I had already started my program. Oh, well. There will always be a need for teachers. And it's what I care about. I plan on teaching English. I love literature and the learning process. Sometimes I need a little help and motivation to stop thinking about things too much.

Creative things. I enjoy making jewelry - beading. I love things that express my creative side. I wouldn't say I'm good at writing, but I do it and I enjoy it.

I'm good at cheering people up, having a good time, being there for my friends. Relationships are important to me, so I do what I can to maintain them.

I also love to plan parties. While I'll never be the life of the party myself, I really love playing hostess. If I can provide a fun evening for my friends, I'm happy. If craziness ensues, even better.

Hmmm...that's a hard question. I don't know what other people notice first about me; you'd have to ask them. I have gotten comments from people that they notice my eyes. I also love to laugh. If you spend more than 2 minutes with me, it will definitely be noticeable.

I love fantasy novels. Anything from Harry Potter to Patricia Briggs to Robin McKinley is good. I have a secret stash of vampire novels I occasionally read as well. I get a kick out of reading anything with lovable characters whose journey is not only outward but inward as well.

I enjoy an odd assortment of movies. I love action movies, or as I call them, movies where things go fast and blow up. This especially goes for action movies with a comedic element. I have been known to indulge in chick-flicks and kids' films. I'm fond of intelligent comedy as well. However, I'm not a fan of horror films or slapstick. Give me an old Danny Kaye movie any night and I'm a happy girl.

There are lots of types of music I like. I'm willing to listen to just about anything once. Most of my music, however, is dated. I still enjoy Blues Traveler, BNL, and Green Day. I also listen to a lot of country and show tunes. I don't force anyone else to listen to it, however. I completely understand if that type of music isn't your thing. I would love to meet someone who would introduce me to new songs.

Food, like music, is something I like to have in variety. The only things I won't eat (that I can think of right now) are curry and overly salted foods. I'm up for anything from sushi to pizza to middle eastern.

1. My friends. They mean a lot to me. We're close and are really supportive of each other.
2. Music. I almost don't care what kind. As long as there's a rhythm and a beat, hopefully something to dance along to, I'm happy.
3. My car. Sometimes it's cathartic to get out and drive - especially if there's a good song on on the radio.
4. Books. I learn a lot about the world and about myself when I read.
5. Laughter. It's good for the soul.
6. I guess this is the thing that I can't do without that I'm still searching for. Let me know if you've found it. :)

Movies, TV, Books, and fandom. I love stories]. Any storytelling medium usually has at least 65% of my attention at any given moment. I would love to find someone who is a good storyteller.

Hanging out with friends, watching a movie, having dinner, and talking.
