My self-summary
I'm quite a geek, but not much of a nerd, if you consider 'geek' to refer to people who are passionate about certain things (though typically not biting the heads off chickens) and 'nerd' to refer to people who are all s-mart and edumacated and stuff. I'm also 30 and my embarrassing admission is that I have nothing to show for it. Well, not much anyway. I have steady enough work, I have some neat things, but until these past couple years I had never held insurance for any substantial amount of time. So I'm trying to change that. I don't know that I'll have money to take college classes any time soon, but I need to start somewhere.

So while I'm trying to find a better job, earn more money, work on my creative projects and try not to go insane in the insanely boring trap suburb that is Hillsboro; I am also trying to edumacate myself using whatever free MOOC sites I can find dammit! So if dating happens, and I'm currently looking at that as a big if, I'm hoping it's someone who encourages such activity rather than resents it or considers its necessity to be a weakness. Otherwise I might have a new test subject for the death ray all this edumacation is going to help me build! All safety precautions taken, of course...
What I’m doing with my life
Kind of covered this above. Basically working, apartment hunting, trying to keep up with my little geeky youtube projects (ask if you're that desperately curious), and doing this whole self betterment thing. Alas, much of this is taking place between work and home and I swear, if I add exercise to this list it better be in the vein of something social, like swing or latin dancing, yes, dancing.
I’m really good at
Stuff and things, I love stuff and things!
The first things people usually notice about me
My dashing good looks, my mighty forehead, my concentrated awesome height, you tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Finch, Jeff VanDermeers fungal Steam Punk noir, a damn good read if a little odd in it's style.
Jim Butcher's fantasy series Codex Alera. He is also the author of the Dresden Files series which kicks much ass.
Fond of Glen Cook's Black Company books. Slowly getting through the third omnibus, keep running into distractions though, been spacing it out with some H.P. Lovecraft and other books. Working on Jim Butchers "Side Jobs", a compilation of his Dresden Files short stories.

Steven Brust, Steven Erickson, Stephen King, yep, lots of Stephens/Stevens in the literary world. George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series. H.P. Lovecraft stories. Old Pulp Fiction sci-fi and fantasies. Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series. Fantasy Novels in General. Just about any graphic novels published by Vertigo. (I.E. Sandman, Lucifer, Preacher, Hellblazer, etc) Fables graphic novel series.
Neil Gaimen books. Gene Wolfe books.
And many many more.

I like a wide variety of movies, I am a movie junkie, not to be confused with a movie snob, unless it's Will Ferrell or Rob Zombie, fuck those guys.

Personally I think Django Unchained is one of Quentin Tarantino's finest.
Bunraku , Ironclad, Franklyn, ink, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Let Me In, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Shawshank Redemption, Kingdom of Heaven, Phonebooth, Event Horizon, The Brother's Bloom, Moulin Rouge, Kick Ass, Legend, Willow, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, 300, 500 Days of Summer, Dark City, Donnie Darko, Equilibrium, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus , Moon, Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream
I'm sure there are more, but this is just a list of those I've thought to put on here.

Music tastes are also fairly random, I'm not typically big on top 40 stuff. This isn't me being a snob, just the general way of things, though it often leads to me enjoying music from 'mainstream' bands that are often ridiculed, usually because I'm the only person who hasn't seen their video or heard their song umpteen million times.

To give you an idea, I've discovered some of my favorites from things like walking past an open shop door where music is playing, to video game trailers... a lot from video game trailers.
Gods I'm a geek.

I'll get to this later.
I spend a lot of time thinking about

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am hating this Kelloggs ad that I've accidentally clicked on about three times while trying to update this profile.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
Cthulhu tells you to?

You know who/what Cthulhu is and want him to run for President in 2016.

You are a geek or are at least geek friendly.

Seriously, the last one is a requirement, if you're not at least geek friendly, best be moving on. This liger ain't changing his stripes.

You need a dance partner, this is not a metaphor, my last attempt at learning social dance was relatively random. My partner wound up being a snob who went on about how my height was ruining her steps, how much she hated the type of dance they were doing, and blah blah blah. Were I a violent man I might have headbutted her pointy nose, rest assured, I was the perfect height for that! Also rest assured, the thought of actually doing that to someone makes me cringe, so it is said only in jest. It's kind of sad that I need to clarify that, but until text can relay facial expression and appropriate tone of voice, I'll have to make due.
