My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy challenges and trying out new experiences. I'm somewhat afraid of heights but am working to become a certified skydiver because there are few more things more exciting than overcoming one's fears. Plus it helps that skydiving is a huge adrenaline rush. I also love watching football and may think about my fantasy football team too much in the fall.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working on my PhD at Georgia Tech in Materials Science and Engineering. My work currently is researching certain materials that can be used to clean up oil spills so it would only be a slight exaggeration to say that I rescue baby sea otters. Adorable, right?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dry sense of humor and sarcasm
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books- Anything written by Robert Ludlum and Michael Crichton, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Inheritance Cycle, Furies of Calderon, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. When I find a great book I always have trouble putting it down so I've started to watch more TV because it's hard to binge on a TV show that is currently airing (though I will say that I went through House of Cards pretty quickly when it came out).
Shows- Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Big Bang Theory, Sherlock, Elementary, House of Cards, Key and Peele, Daily Show, and Colbert Report. I also love stand up comedy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends
Family
Intellectually stimulating conversation
A good book or TV show
Playing pick up sports on a crisp fall day
Fruit smoothies
Satire
My ability to count to six
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm going to do for the rest of the day
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working in the lab, hanging out with friends, or just relaxing at home. I'm not too much of a partier and spending time with a few people and having meaningful conversation rather than going to large parties and engaging in endless small talk
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to breakdance
