My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If you asked my friends to describe me, that's really creepy - how did you know who they are? Though one of them did tell me recently "When I want someone I can trust with my life and know they genuinely care about me, it's you." I do what I can.

I like staying in shape, love to write, sing, and play guitar, and I'm also designing some card games. I'm ambitious, and I love being busy - but I always make time for those I hold dear. Travel is definitely in my near future, and I will be setting foot outside North America this year, hopefully on purpose.

Also, despite the username, I'm not Italian. The name does have a backstory though, and I'll share it if asked.

One more thing, to possibly save us both some time: I put effort into my fitness, and I take pride in my physical condition. Not to a narcissistic degree, but I care about being in shape. If you don't do the same, or if you smoke, we are not going to be a match.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a web programmer who writes for fun. I want to be a writer who builds websites for fun. I'm also 8 songs into my personal songwriting quest. I collect gems, minerals and fossils, and I love singing, be it performing, at karaoke, or at home.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Languageing, making up words, singing, writing, helping people laugh and smile, solving logic puzzles, not getting attacked by a jaguar. I've been told my smile is pretty good too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a tall Canadian man with a beard. People often say I look like Tom Green, but I don't see it. I also got Hans Gruber once, but that person was very drunk.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favourite book is a specific copy of Jurassic Park, because reading it is what really got me into reading. If I ever chucked it all away to go live on an island somewhere, that copy of Jurassic Park would come with me. My tastes are completely eclectic though, and I'm just as likely to read (or watch) a mystery as I am something about comparative religion.

In general I'm drawn to things that are unique, so I favour bands with a sound that's distinct to them, movies with plots that haven't been retread a thousand times (I don't like watching people just going about their lives on a screen), and TV shows with at least a bit of cleverness to them. I don't really want to put a massive list here though, because this page is long enough already, so if you want to know some titles, feel free to ask.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
Music
Creative outlets
A challenge
Friends/family
Good food
Exercise
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be a better me. My next creative endeavor. How to balance all the things I want to do with the time I have in which to do them. Good news: I'm winning that one!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hunting hobos for sport.

Just kidding, it's for food.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...is something I'll admit privately. I'm not falling for your games, OkCupid.

You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If after reading my profile you want to message me, then you should message me. I ...kind of figured that was implied. Also, if you wish I'd messaged you; it's okay to take the initiative.

I'm looking for someone who's smart, has a great sense of humour, loves smiling (it happens a lot around me), you care about your health, and you're up for occasional random adventures. And if you know what Grifball is, that's good too.
