I'm Dick, geek since way before it was "cool" and all round awesome dude. I enjoy good music and gigs, good television (mainly comedy, cartoons and sci-fi that don't suck), good video games (I am Nintendo's bitch), good books (although not as much as I should), good friends and good times. I try (occasionally unsuccessfully) not to take myself or life too seriously unless absolutely necessary, if I insist on taking something seriously it must be very important or not important at all, those are the rules. I can usually be talked into anything as long as it is sold to me using the words "adventure", "shenanigans" or "in the name of science"

Being geeky, making top 5 lists, quoting obscure things, recognising obscure quotes, remembering random and useless information, sleeping in, saying "just like batman" at the end of my sentences, certain video games, scrabble, chess, poker, glass collecting (seriously, I was a legend).

I'd like to think it was somehow related to the awesomeness of whatever gig t-shirt I'm sure to be wearing at the time.

The last 3 are comic books but they still count. I pity the fool who thinks otherwise, almost as much as I pity the fool who calls them graphic novels.

Movies: High fidelity, fight club, back to the future, forest gump, this is spinal tap, batman begins, spiderman, x-men, 4 out of 5 even numbered star trek films, star wars except episode 1 (god I feel cliché typing that), anything by Kevin Smith except jersey girl, liar liar, the Truman show, toy story, the american president, serenity.

Music: I refuse to classify my musical tastes using a genre system that is ambiguous and inaccurate at best, http://www.last.fm/user/dickiedudeles/ gives a good general idea.

Food: CRISPS! Most meat as well, preferably on a pizza or easily microwaveable, I'm not much of a cook.

Television: Scrubs, smallville, simpsons, futurama, Red dwarf, stargate, Star trek(except voyager), Invader Zim, Pinky and the brain, Johnny Bravo, 2DTV, coupling, the office, time gentleman please, TMWRNJ, fist of fun, firefly, foster's home for imaginary friends, justice league(unlimited), teen titans, doctor who, deal or no deal.

Video games: NINTENDO! In particular zelda, mario(including but not limited to kart) and smash brothers. I like me some PC gaming as well, mainly FPS and strategy games in particular Unreal tournament, half life, command and conquer and civilization. When it comes to arcades anything that involves shooting, dancing or eating dots and dodging ghosts is good with me.

PC (including internet connection and my music), crisps, robinsons special R orange(my dirty little secret), warm bed(I love napping), regular gigging(I enjoy live music and otherwise I'd have no shirts), pictures of fluffy animals (the key to world peace)

Occasionally very deep philosophical stuff involving the nature of the universe, the future of humanity and the existence of free will, usually lot's of really pointless geek stuff. Whenever I have a problem in life I always wonder to myself what batman would do. I used to ask myself what captain Picard would do but recalibrating the main deflector to create a inverse tacyon beam proved less useful in everyday life than you might expect.

Sometimes I'm rocking out (I'm a bit partial to Satan's hollow among others), sometimes I'm in relaxing in a pub (Harry's bar and retro), sometimes gigging, sometimes not much at all, it really depends on my mood and what other people are doing.

I have a bit of a kinky side, I love my kinky side. I also love busted and have described the day they broke up as "the worst day of my life"
