My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Very youthful, fit, with a very active lifestyle. A longtime social justice activist. An unrepentant lefty. An occasional writer for independent publications. A former musician (tenor sax & guitar).

I'm looking for an intelligent, sensuous woman who can appeal to me intellectually as well as physically. I prefer a woman who has an inquisitive mind and likes to have fun!

Race, ethnicity, height or hair color do not matter. I do not have a 'shopping list' of requirements for a partner. I'm not looking for a horse!

I'm not necessarily looking for someone with identical interests to mine, but rather someone who has their own life and we can respect each others choices.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have worked for many years with NGO's and community-based groups in the non-profit sector. I've also worked as an educator (college level).

My passions include the arts, books, irreverent conversation, activism, live music and night life. I love the cultural and lifestyle diversity of Toronto.

I'm great with kids and animals, and love the outdoors. I enjoy exploring interesting parts of this province - the area around Barry's Bay (the Madawaska Valley) is a hidden gem.

I've also done a lot of global, international travel. Peru and Sri Lanka are countries that truly left an impression.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A shy, self-deprecating manner.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Frida, The Motorcycle Diaries, Beginners, Big Fish, Amarcord, 1900, Burn, The Big Lebowski, Pleasantville. Anything produced/directed by John Sayles, Ken Loach, Almodovar, Wertmuller, Fellini, Godard, Pontecorvo or Bertolucci. I love Christopher Guest's films. Recently saw Sally Potter's new film Ginger & Rosa and loved it. Tony Kushner is a genius. A good documentary will challenge your preconceptions - e.g. The Gatekeepers.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, words, a sense of community, compassion, play, skin-on-skin contact.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Letting loose & 'debriefing' with my beloved co-workers (something we do every Friday after work, & which sometimes extends into the evening).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm drawn to critical thinkers and non-conformists, people with an edge.
