Hi, I'm Alyssa. I live in Buffalo, NY, home of craptastic sports teams that tank when the whole nation is watching, the 6 month winter, and the chicken wing.

I'm editing this because what I had before was just a list of facts. I also realized I can go back and re-answer questions so I'm working on that too. Some of my answers are definitely no longer correct. If you want to know my favorite color, animal, or how well I like my steak cooked, just ask.

What you should know about me is that I'm smart, I'm funny, and I'm fun. I can have an intelligent conversation. I'm an animal lover. I can continue to list cliches but I don't think it'd get me anywhere.

What I would love to find in a guy is someone that can make me laugh, that I can have conversations with that aren't just of the "So, did you see the Hangover?" variety with. Someone who can accept me for me, who can deal with my quirks and who won't try to change me. I'm not stupid enough to discount looks, they matter and it's just a fact of life. However, they don't have to make or break it. I'd love someone who's genuine, who can appreciate it that I'll remember your favorite dessert and randomly make it for you or knows that you really enjoy that video game so it's ok if you want to play it for a little while so long as you turn your attention back to me without my having to beg you to turn it off. I've settled in the past and refuse to do it again. I don't want to just screw around, I want to find someone to actually spend time with.

Baking, kissing ass at work, crafty things (baking, painting, jewelry, crochet, tiedye), sleeping, explaining things in bizarre ways.

i'm short....i have big boobs..and i'm using saying something sarcastic (which depending on how you take it, could be funny) or spouting off random facts.

A) the fact that i read probably 5 books a week should give you an idea that i have a lot of favorites. so lets see, they include all of mary roach's books, harry potter, anything by christopher moore but particularly lamb, dirty job and fluke. death: a life, sophie kinsella's and sue margolis' books. anthony bourdain's books are awesome... I guess I went more for authors here. I also like reference books.

B) nightmare before christmas, the crow, lilo and stitch (pretty much anything disney), most of tim burton's stuff, jurassic park, crybaby, the professional, mrs doubtfire, pan's labyrinth, the orphanage, death at a funeral, mall rats. mythbusters, csi, come dine with me, rupauls drag race and drag u, good eats, grey's anatomy, family guy, the nanny, roseanne, pretty much anything on the discovery channel/national geographic/animal planet.

C) big into soundtracks lately, pirates of the carribean, grease, wicked, rock horror picture show, sweeney todd. bloodhound gang, system of a down, disney stuff, silverchair, foo fighters, kt tunstall, b 52s, bon jovi, barenaked ladies, flogging molly, jack off jill, incubus, reel big fish, rob zombie, classical, lady gaga, sublime, katy perry etc

D) pineapple pizza, pasta, chocolate (a given), um... bagels and strawberry cream cheese, mac and cheese, ravioli, garlic mashed potatoes, steak (especially buffalo), bread cheese, gummi

Wow.......well, I'm assuming this means material things.

If you're older than 40, it's not going to happen. If you're under 40 but over 35, I'd have to say that'd go on a case to case basis.
