I've been on the road since finishing law school, pushing for immigrant's rights and following candidates on the campaign trail as a photographer and writer, with a bit of videography thrown in on occasion. My life's pretty random, and I've been across 6 states in the past 3 or 4 months. I wind up in CA and NY the most lately, but I've traveled to Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Indiana, Florida and probably one or two more I'm forgetting.

I love travel, learning about different cultures, and living a life that could be described as "random." I only have one tattoo myself (working on it), but I have a serious weakness for a girl with some ink or a very different look.

I tend to gravitate towards social missions. I write about what I see for a few different websites, and I've been putting together a book on politics, racial issues, the primary, the Latino vote, a little bit of gay rights and women's rights and all the crazy stuff I've seen along the road. The work gets intense, but so are the rewards.

Also I rediculously love the fact that I'm a Ginger. In a strange way, while many people relate over things like national identity, there are often more unique ways that I relate to people with red hair (i.e. lame pubic hair jokes and fighting with customs to get my sunblock through security) than because we were born in the same town.

Anything by Vonnegut or Palahniuk is pretty damned good, just reread and loved Great Gatsby (I know teachers want to try, but you just CAN'T understand that book in high school the way you can as an adult), Hemingway always does it for me, A Farewell to Arms and For Whom the Bell Tolls being recent favorites. Fight Club may be my generation's defining body of literature, an entire generation of men struggling to find their ideal of masculinity, having only the Dos Equis guy to guide them.

I have an addiction to Game of Thrones, it blends fantasy and history in an enthrallingly dramatic, beautiful environment so perfectly pieced together
