I'm really bad at wearing high heels, and deeply bad at pretending to care about things I don't care about. My glasses are fake but I'm honest about it. I swear too much and leave my dishes in my sink for too long and don't even hate myself for it.

My friends say I have a "strong personality." I don't care to find out what my enemies say.

Shifts regularly. Last concert: Band of Horses.

Food: spicy, ethnic, fresh.

Stuff: Night walks, massage, swimming, holding hands, adventure, fire, rope, anything reminiscent of A Softer World.

Places: everywhere in Seattle, Wormhole Coffee in Chicago, lab cafe in Ann Arbor, the roof of my old dorm building, the OCEAN (I'm still adapting to being an inlander), cuddle puddles, new restaurants, libraries, a warm bed in a cold bedroom, the Asian enclave of any city, the place on the hills where you can see city lights and stars at the same time. Most places you can see stars.

Passion. Distraction. Communication tools (I can't even think without a pen). Change (because it's gonna happen anyway).

The future! Especially wondering what the next few decades are going to look like as women, people of color, and queers get more actual power in America. Also the past! And why things are the way they are. The esoteric - the utility of an expanded quipu system in a world without factories. Personality inventories (INTJ, Chaos Muppet, Chaotic Good, 3 on the Kinsey scale, Slytherin/Ravenclaw).

Philosophies: Rationalism, transhumanism, Earthseed, Carl Sagan, feminism (as the tip of the iceberg - anti-oppressive on any axis), existentialism (in a liberatory kind of way).

For a misanthrope, I have a lot of friends who keep me busy - parties, movie nights, communal cooking, bars, skinny dipping, traveling, Dungeons and Dragons, whatever. (Not that I constrain myself to Friday nights, of course.) I prefer smoking bowls to getting trashed.

I'm automatically suspicious of people who say "ask anything," because it touts the principle of openness without actually exposing anything.

I'm an atheist who's borderline obsessed with getting the most out of my precious time on this Earth, who sleeps naked. I already told you about the dishes and the glasses. I used to worry about whether I was a manic pixie dream girl, because I seem to have that effect on some people. Then I realized I don't have the time to even fret about it, so whatever; enter at your own risk.

I just thought of a really good one (these are fun, actually) that I'll tell you about if we go on a date. Ask me about the thing with Glenn Beck.
