My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Reclaiming my life after an intense 2 years of work + grad school! Just moved to Brooklyn and would love to meet some fun people.

As for the rest, instead of a mini essay, here's a little brain dump:

Love people that can laugh at themselves and the insanity that is life.

I love tacos. I didn't used to, but my brain and taste buds finally came to their senses and now I will probably fight you for the last taco.

Biking is fun. I resist on a daily basis the urge to buy a new bike (eyeing the Kona Jake).

Siestas are perfection. As are pancakes. And bacon. Sometimes they go together.

I like to stay fit and mix it up a lot so I don't get bored.

Countries visited in past 2 years: Brazil, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and Costa Rica.

I love the water. I don't know why I have not relocated closer to a beach or lake.

Food is a really big thing for me and I love trying and cooking new things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
genuinely enjoying it after working my ass off the past few years...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have somehow managed not to decimate the Nutella stashed in my kitchen and come to really enjoy cooking (and eating) delicious food.

Chorizo chickpea tacos. Insanely good.

Also, I have what I consider a super sweet talent of likening people to animals. I stopped telling people this as they tend NOT to like their chosen animal.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I should be Greek or Italian, but I'm not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Shadow of the Wind surprised me; a really great read. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is perfection. Loved American Gods, Jennifer Government, and Lexicon.

I am a movie whore, but my sweet spot is usually thriller/action/dark comedy. A few favorites: Stranger Than Fiction, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and V for Vendetta, and The Grand Budapest Hotel (this one might have just crept into my top 5). Amelie, Angel-A, 300, The Life Aquatic, The Goonies (forever), Hot Tub Time Machine, Out Cold, etc.

Music is all over the place...recent favorites: Frightened Rabbit, Santigold, Little Dragon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, NIN, some terrible yet addictive Tiesto track, Max Richter, Explosions in the Sky, etc.

True Detective, Castle, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Luther, Sherlock, Falling Skies (it's so bad it's good), The Fall, etc.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
apple pie
noise canceling headphones
Canon w/ wide angle lens
art that makes me feel like a kid again
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where i’m headed, how to get there, and how I can simultaneously regress to 6 year old me while retaining everything i’ve learned over the years. And tacos.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying to figure out what to do in this new city of mine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

You're smart, confident, and can take a joke! You appreciate the craziness of our lives and enjoy a little goofiness, but can also take things seriously. There's only so much you can get across on these sites...let's chat, grab a drink/bite or whatever.
