My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Recently returned to NY after a year in London. Consider myself a realist and an optimist, and a pragmatic day dreamer with an addiction to retro kicks.

I am a nomadic sort who has moved around considerably (USA/Europe/Asia) but is ready to put down some roots in this city.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Librarian by trade.

Passionate about friends, family, tunes, beats, and words.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Going to music festivals. I have been to a considerable number scattered around Europe and North America.

I love escaping into a little microcosm of strange sights, music, adventure, and banter for the duration of a festival.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That would have to be my mixed up, hybrid accent. It seems all my travels have left me with a mish mash effect. My ethnically ambiguous looks add to the general confusion.

Books - Just finished Tracey Thorn's autobiography, which I really enjoyed and just started Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. Also read the Guardian and NY Times daily.

Music - Disco, house, alt rock, italo, 80s/90s pop, and some older hip hop generally float my boat. I love discovering or having new music recommended to me. Recent gigs attended include Caribou, The War on Drugs and Underworld.

On my list of new music to listen to -
Hot Chip
Sufjan Stevens
Roisin Murphy

TV - Stuff like Mad Men, The Wire, Arrested Development, and Seinfeld.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- My selection of berets
- Having my next holiday booked
- Headphones (and the music I listen to with them)
- Disco dancing
- Sunshine (I am all about the summer)
- Having a giggle with mates
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the Universe and Everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Catching up with friends over a few drinks, checking out a gig, bopping on a dance floor, planning my next travels, or chilling at home with some fine tunes on the go, and catching up on some reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

You like to talk about music ad nauseum, going to gigs, getting some jukebox action going on in a bar, cultural activities or some city cycling.

If you are averse to writing lol, lmao or other such abbreviations, and appreciate good grammar and spelling.
