A music-loving computer nerd with a twisted sense of humor.
What I’m doing with my life
Fixing up my old but sturdy house.
Meanwhile, I'm trying to improve my skills at photography. I mostly
take landscape photos, mainly because I don't have willing models
to train my model photography with (they all run away, some
screaming). And whenever inspiration hits, I also try to do digital
painting and drawing.
I love nature, and hiking trips into the wilderness are great fun,
not to mention relaxing. Haven't done that in a while though.
Everybody else is too busy and it's not that fun going alone.
I’m really good at
Photography, or at least people tell me so. I'm nowhere near
professional status, but I'm getting better and love to learn more.
The first things people usually notice about me
Many people have told me that I look angry, even when I've been in
a totally fine mood. I guess it's just my normal expression... I
did think about trying to make myself smile all the time, but then
people would probably assume I'm on some medication, so I guess I
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As for books and films, I mostly like fantasy, scifi and
horror/thrillers. My taste in music tends to lean towards rock and
metal, but that's not all that I listen to.
Favourite authors: Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, H.P. Lovecraft,
J.R.R. Tolkien (hey, there's a reason those guys appear on pretty
much EVERYONE'S list), Robert Holdstock, George R.R. Martin
Favourite comics: Sinfest, Sluggy Freelance, Fingerpori, Cyanide
& Happiness, Watchmen, V For Vendetta, Hellboy, Questionable
Content, The Perry Bible Fellowship, Nemi and anything where
Deadpool makes an appearance.
Favourite bands: Crimson Glory, Sólstafir, D-A-D, Anathema, Monster
Magnet, Ayreon, Paradise Lost, Primordial, Septicflesh, Entwine,
Queensrÿche, Swallow The Sun, Devin Townsend, Skid Row etc.
Lately I've been addicted to watching Deadwood, Community, The
Mentalist and 30 Rock.
The six things I could never do without
2. A computer
3. A DSLR camera
4. A Wacom tablet
6. Nature! I don't feel at home in the city. Except maybe during
the pollen season...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
life, the universe and everything and what my role is in all of it.
I know it's pretty meaningless to waste time thinking about it,
because I'll never find the answers that way, but I can't help it.
On a typical Friday night I am
most likely reading, listening to music and/or surfing the
I'm really not good at finding company or asking anyone to go with
me anywhere, so if I go somewhere I usually go alone. I'm sort of a
lone wolf, yet sometimes I'd also like to have people with me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Occasionally I get the urge to call a friend, to ask if I could
come visit or something, you know, to be social. But those moments
usually come at night, and in the morning I'm back to my
introverted, hermit self.
You should message me if
you think we could have something in common, something to talk
about, you want to ask something... or anything at all. I'll be
sure to answer.
