I'm a geek, talk
nerdy to me. I'm mostly a computer science geek of the
Unix persuasion. This
means that I use vim,
need to learn LISP
and love my IBM
Model M. My unhealthy interests also spill over into gaming,
with a particular interest in retrogaming.
The computing side has probably been my in into sci-fi and anime. My most guilty pleasure is probably
Stargate SG1.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
I suppose this demands I divide my loves like delicious cherry pie. Anything
by Douglas
Adams is good. Often black comedy appeals; I'm a fan of 'Bill,
the Galactic Hero' and 'Grunts'. I'm kind of cold on Terry
Pratchett. I enjoyed 'Only you can save Mankind', but I never got
into Discworld.
I've got something of a thing for both films and TV written by
Simon Pegg (Hot
Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Spaced) films. I also like Kevin Smith films
(Chasing Amy, Dogma). Don't seem to really have time for anime now;
I particularly love series like 'Chobits', 'Fruits Basket' and 'Full Metal Panic:
FUMOFFU'.
I've got a filthy love for leftover curry and pizza; actually,
that's probably my perfect night in; company, Harrison Ford and enough
takeout for the morning.
