My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Djibril is just my name in another language, read it in a book. Makes it easy when I don't want to over think the perfect username. I'm sure you could Google it if you really wanted to.

An L.A. native. I work in digital post for feature films and trailers-quality control & localization. That means I spend time in a darkened theatre most days. And obviously that means that I love when I can get outside and bask in the sun, watch the sun set, hiking, camping, drive to the desert at a moments notice(Yay Joshua Tree{for sun & spirit}!!) or up the coast. Not a very good swimmer but I'm working on it!
Among other things, so they say, I'm known amongst my friends as the guy whose up for anything, adventure and can roll with any situation and make the most of it, sincere, intelligent, creative, tough, loyal, confident.
I'm growing, learning and evolving, self-realizing, making the best use if my brain to improve myself and my life.
Prefer phone calls to text. Especially when driving. Highways over freeways, the less car butts, the better.
I only kill black widow spiders, the rest are safe with me as I escort them out under a cup and whatever envelope may be around.
I say the Spanish equivalent to gesundheit.
An ambivert- balanced social butterfly/hermit.
Conversationalist. Sarcasm enthusiast/appreciator.
I wear a fair amount of black. Hey, I look good in dark muted colors. I look horrible in pastels and it annoys me because I can't go shopping in spring or summer.
My Hetero-life partner is a black long-haired Persian cat, his name is Conspiracy, don't ask, he may have to kill you. Some of my other interests include Argentine tango ( in part because of Gomez & Morticia), recently got ino salsa, and I do still enjoy rocking out at the dwindling goth clubs in L.A. Live shows. Martial arts. Motorcycles.

I'm looking for a partner, preferably for the rest of my days on this flying rock. A travel companion. An equal for laughter, joy, honesty, and all the bells and whistles, and even the bad times and hardships of being in a relationship.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Doing what I can "To be of the world and in the world." Yes, that is a quote from Sabrina.
Going where the wind takes me. Going with the flow & trying new things.
Meeting people & building new relationships. Appreciating every day & all the little things in between.
Recently, I started pre-requisite courses to start down a new career path in Mechanical Engineering. Lots of new tech that I want to be a part of. Until then, lots of maths.

I just went on a week and a half road trip because I had a forced vacation. Opportunity knocked, and I drove by myself and camped where I felt like. From LA to Moab(fun times), Moab to Great Basin(beautiful), Great Basin to Tahoe to Big Sur for a couple nights with the redwoods and Pfeifer beach(amazing!), down highway 1 and got in last night, may 20th. I will go back up the coast in the near future, who knows maybe with company this time. Can't wait for the next adventure, I'm still smiling
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being human. Receiving massages, OK, giving them too. Driving. Conversation. Petting cats. Lists. Losing sleep, because, c'mon, there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything. But I find a way.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As some friends have pointed out, my savoir faire, the full head of thick wavy hair, and people always think I look younger than my age.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Ready Player One. Tolkien, Dune, Crime and Punishment, The Alchemist. Making some headway in reading as many classics as I can but also getting some brain candy like The Hunger Games. Currently reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance & Stranger in a Strange Land. "You're right. No human being would stack books like this."

Music: Johnny Cash, Dido, Fiona Apple, Puscifer, Billy Idol, Bright Eyes, NIN, Beatles, Depeche Mode, The Doors, Filter, Nina Simone, Goldfrapp, G'n'f'n'R, How To Destroy Angels, Ministry, Metric, Florence & the Machine, Portishead, Pink Floyd, Bowie, oldies, classic rock. Oldies, some jazz, blues.

Movies: 80's movies. Action, Zombie flicks, lots of sci-fi. Comedy. Comic book movies. Classic films. Not a horror enthusiast but I can appreciate a good scare, not into torture porn like 'Saw'.

TV: Got off TV years ago. But, when I get the chance, the Walking Dead, Archer. I do appreciate vegging out every now and then.

Food: Love it. No real dietary restrictions other than moderation and being health conscious, I'm moving into more of a paleo-ish diet these days. Sometimes though, mint ice cream for dinner is hard to pass up. Love scotchy, I have my favorites, spend time in whiskey bars, and beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Leather jacket
Guitar
Internet
Laughter
Nature
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Writing music. Martial arts. Moving to Portland. My next travel adventure. Argentine Tango. Motorcycles and a road trip across the US and Canada. How to be better. Having a family someday. What to do after work. Traveling Eastern Europe.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Ranges from driving out to Vegas, heading to a campsite, dinner and/or drinks with friends, staying in with Netflix, whiskey & guitar. Dancing. Movies. You know, the usual.
And well, tonight, may 23rd, I'm going with friends to Joshua Tree to stay up all night & photograph the night sky.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Talked about fight club. Yup, I did.
