My Self-Summary
I'm a geek, without a doubt. I like, above all things, robots, and
robot related media. I play a lot of video games, and watch lots of
movies. That's not to say I don't get out. I spend as much of my
summer as I can outdoors, at the cottage, swimming and what not. My
dog is a big part of my life too, wherever I go, she goes.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in television, in news actually. This is because I love
story telling, it's my artistic drug of choice. As a hobby I write
short stories and eventually I'd love to sell a script. I also
write for a small video game website based out of the Toronto area.
I’m really good at
Machines and I get a long really well. Computers, televisions, that
sort of thing. I have a brain that can handle technical stuff. That
being said I also am really into painting models. Oh, I am a dyed
in the wool nerd. When I'm not listening to video game podcasts or
reading anime news I'm readjusting the settings on my TV or fixing
someones computer. Apparently I'm handy to have around.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm loud, and funny. I have a knack for recalling strange and
obscure facts. One day I will take all of Jeopardy's money! Also,
I'm told I have thick and lustrous hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Typical nerd fare: Lord of the Rings, and Wheel of Time (up to book
8) come to mind. My favorite author is Philip K. Dick, and my
favorite book is undoubtedly Do Androids Dream of Electric
Sheep.
I like a lot of movies, but cheesey horror and Sci-Fi are the best. The Omega Man, and Planet of the Apes for example. I also dig anime.
I like all kinds of music. I won't limit myself to a genre. Bands I really dig: Dr. Dog, Matthew Good (with or without the Band), Elbow, My Morning Jacket, MGMT, Joel Plaskett, Beck, and Kings of Leon. There's more, that's just who I'm listening to most right now.
