My friends would describe me as a very outgoing and witty person, but I can be quite shy when I first meet new people. I am a hard-working, dedicated, and driven in everything I do, but I try to not take myself too seriously. My family and friends are very important to me and I am willing to do anything for them.

My job requires me to work long hours, but I always try to make time to get away. I am pretty laid back and relaxed in my personal life and I enjoy going out with friends on the weekends to a bar, the casual game of miniature golf or bowling, going for a drive without a destination (I love random adventures), and also spending the night in and curling up on the couch with a movie. I am a Boston sports fan and love to watch or go to games. I can easily be convinced to try almost anything at least once, especially new restaurants.

Overall I am looking for someone who is intellectually curious, loves trying new things, is motivated, passionate, and can make me laugh.

I came to Rhode Island to attend Brown University, and I currently work at a middle school teaching math through a program I had the opportunity to join upon graduating. I never imagined I would go into the field of education, but now I can't imagine doing anything else. I love my job and seeing my students every day. Eventually I would like to either open my own school or go into education policy.

My willingness to jump right in and help with anything. I believe that small acts of kindness are very important and that even something as small as offering to make copies for another teacher so they can leave early can make someone's day.

I don't have much time to read for fun so there isn't a lot of fiction, but for work I have recently read many of Jim Collins' books and really enjoyed them.

I eat almost all foods and don't know that I have any clear favorites, but I really enjoy all seafood, steak, thai cuisine, creme brulee, and going out for breakfast on the weekends.

For movies I will watch anything, but I tend to like more drama and action movies than anything else. Apollo 13, The Score, A Few Good Men, Remember the Titans, James Bond, Silence of the Lambs, Die Hard, The Godfather, Gladiator, Good Will Hunting, The Departed, and Heat are some of my favorites.

I watch mostly sporting events, and other than that I must say most of the tv shows I watch aren't the most intellectually complex, but I enjoy NCIS, Blue Bloods, The Firm, and the CSI and Law & Order franchises. I have recently started watching Dexter and Mad Men, but I haven't seen many episdoes.

I'll listen to almost any music and don't have a particular type, but Bruce Springsteen is definitely my favorite artist (and Thunder Road is clearly his greatest song). Otherwise, I'll listen to pretty much whatever is on the radio or what my students tell me to put on(maybe...).

what a book on my life would read like -- my current thinking is that the chapters would alternate between reading like a sitcom and a drama (I'm pretty sure OKC would be a sitcom chapter...)

oh and also my job, the future, all those fun things

usually hanging out with friends and going out to a bar for drinks right after work, but after that I don't think I really have a typical Friday, it completely varies - checking out a new restaurant, staying in and watching a movie, attending a sporting event or live performance (I love theater)...

While I am a self-confident person and try to show no fear or weakness, I am also very sesitive, understanding, and caring. My parents got divorced when I was young and this has caused me to often hide this side of my personality except to my closest friends.
