I'm generally not good at self promotion. But here goes... I'm open minded. Live and let live as they say. I'm in shape but mostly because I try to eat right and not because I spend a lot of time working out. (I don't). I'm married but getting divorced. If that's a problem I guess wait about 60 days and check back. Apparently there are some waiting periods and I took the parenting class. I have a daughter who is 11. She is smart, cute and sassy. I'll leave the rest of that for our first date.
I spend my spare time working on my house, doing family stuff or reading. I watch a small amount of TV. Or a movie from the library. No reality shows or derivations thereof.
I have a reputation for being funny. Which is deserved.

I'm hoping to moved into my new place before it gets cold. I work part time and I have additional outside income.
I support myself and my share of my daughter's needs. (to me that is assumed, but after reading some of my matches I'm guessing I need to state it upfront. ) My plan is to buy a double (duplex) and live in one side and rent the other. I'm having trouble finding one in Carmel tho so we will see how it goes. I might just buy another fixer-upper.
UPDATE: well, know I guess I'm hoping to move before it gets too hot. I had no idea this would take so long. I heard stories but being a little skeptical by nature I didn't think my divorce would drag on. Well, house is appraised. Not to my benefit do it looks like I'll be paying for my own appraisal. I guess I'll leave it at that.

Introducing myself and making people feel comfortable. It doesn't matter if it is a party or a funeral or a networking event. It takes practice but it can be fun.
I'm also really good at fixing almost anything. in a house that is. Never much luck with cars, so I decided to just buy new ones. (Yes I know they lose 1/2 their value when you drive them off the lot but at least they are reliable.)

I was told recently that I have big hands..... As far as first impressions go I'm not sure. I've been called skinny, and eloquent, and actually the "nicest guy you'll ever meet" twice. Years apart. Yes it is a direct quote. I actually am a really nice guy. Not a saint, but definitely a nice guy.

There is a lot I could put here. I'm open to anything in this topic generally. I would recommend strongly "peace like a river". It's a book by Leif Enger. It's one of the best books I've ever read. I also have read most, or all, of the books Tony Hillerman and Carl Hiassen wrote. I've been reading the books that have been assigned to my daughter at her school. If you have a child reading The Giver and if you haven't read it, you should.
As far as music goes, the easiest thing might be to mention radio stations. My first choice is NPR (not for music thats just the one I check first). Music stations would be 92.3, X103 and 104.5.
Not country really. Except I love Johnny Cash. Other recent books: "the story of Edgar Sawtelle". Great book. Also "the tenderness of wolves". Okay. Not great.

This one is kind of lame. But here goes: family, opportunity, freedom, the bill of rights, change (not an Obama reference, I've realized that I like change, even the scary kind). Ok that's 5. Ummmm companionship.

If not that, I'm probably watching a movie with my daughter. Or just relaxing at home. Now if I'm not with my daughter I'd like to be out trying a new restaurant and/or going to a show (not movie, play, performance, etc.) movie. I'm in need of someone with which I can do these things.
