As a child I moved around quite a lot. I've lived in Florida, Colorado, Germany, and now reside in Alabama. The opportunities I've had to live in different parts of the country and abroad have definitely molded me into the person I am today. Germany was a beautiful country that was very community-oriented. The food, scenery, and friends were generally awesome and if I were presented the opportunity I would probably move back.
I enjoy fine dining, craft beers, and ethnic food. I'm on a quest to find the tastiest gyro in Birmingham. I recently discovered fine dining and this city has a lot to offer in that department. The concept that food is more than something to provide energy throughout the day is new to me, but my eyes are officially open. I'd love to find someone to share the adventure with.
As an added bonus I'm also a huge gaming nerd. I like story-driven Western RPGs. There is something I enjoy about the classic epic hero quest in a richly developed world, be it of the Tolkienesque fantasy, dark fantasy, steampunk, or sci-fi variety. I favor PC games and my two all-time favorites have to be Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment. If you have any idea what either of those games are then props to you.
Unfortunately, my job/school keeps me pretty busy and so my social life pays for it. I'm a biologist in the biomedical field. As such my life revolves around honest critical evaluation and I strongly favor the former over being driven by emotion or faith. I'm also openly an atheist, so if you have a problem with that do not contact me. I have no problem with religious people, but I will not change my opinion for someone. Did I mention I strongly dislike conservatives? Not all of them mind you, but certainly the vocal ones. It's really unfortunate Alabama is full of them. I may love my state, but I hardly care for a majority of the people here. It's the ignorance and complete willingness to loudly shout their uninformed opinions that bothers me the most.
So yeah I'm a progressive liberal atheist nerd in Alabama. Some may say, "Haha good luck with a date you heathen". Yeah well.... Fuck you and your quest for social ideological homogeneity. I'm basically looking for a person to share my life with that shares some of my interests and understands my career path is something that takes a lot of time and dedication, but if we click I will happily dedicate what remaining time I have to trying to foster a strong relationship.
