My self-summary
Love to read, can usually finish a good sized novel in 1-2 days. I listen to all sorts of music, ranging from the Manhattan Transfer to the Ramones but I can't stand rap or anything where it's just screaming into the mike, mainly because I'm big into lyrics. I think the lyrics are the most important part of any song. I have contacts but never wear them, for some reason. I've done a little bit of photography, but I'm apparently incapable of keeping a camera for more than a year. More recently I've started teaching myself guitar. I suck at it, but at least I'm trying, right? My goal in life is to become an awesome elementary school teacher.

I am random, music-loving, and laid-back
What I’m doing with my life
I just finished the Teacher Education and Masters in Education program at UC Santa Cruz and got a credential in teaching multiple subjects/elementary school.

I recently moved back to Fresno from Santa Cruz to save on cost of living expenses. I'm currently a substitute teacher for Fresno Unified.
I’m really good at
Procrastinating, making self-deprecating jokes, and philosophizing.

Plus walking in circles looking confused while searching my pockets.
The first things people usually notice about me
If you're really paying attention then you'll probably make a comment about my eyes. You see, they're very blue. Very, Very blue. Well, grey technically, but everyone says blue, so that's what I'll go with.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a) Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny... Hell, anything by Roger Zelazny. Also anything relating to Stephen King's Dark Tower. (b) Since it came out, my new favorite movie of all time ever is Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (c) Ramones, Dead Kennedies, Barenaked Ladies, Manhattan Transfer,The Clash, Jets to Brazil, Pink Floyd, The Hold Steady.... The list goes on. (d) Things without glutens. Because the glutens are bad for me.
The six things I could never do without
List of six things! In no particular order.

Mountain Sunsets
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What songs I would like to learn well enough to sing and accompany myself on the guitar at the same time so that I could, in theory, play them in front of other people. How best to put off learning said songs. Why cats love clawing and biting my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly, playing Dungeons and Dragons. That's right, I'm a huge geek.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I named my car Booster Gold. After this guy:
You should message me if
You want to. Really, what other reason do you need?
