My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm more a cup of tea than a fancy cocktail; more Radio 2 (or 4!) than Radio 1; more cosying up in a tent than living it up in a posh hotel; more skinny jeans and Converse than a short skirt and heels; more a buttercup than an orchid.

I can make you laugh until you wee yourself, I'm a good listener, generally kind and even-tempered, mostly quite patient, usually articulate, sometimes a thinker... Love being halfway up a sheer rock face in a strong wind, but also love being curled up on the sofa with my cats and a good book. Where's the catch? If I told you that I'd have to kill you.

Things that I like: books; rock climbing; cats; documentaries; tents; honesty; butterflies; my kindle; Nighty Night; doing laundry; intelligence; beards; tattoos; knitting; complicated German boardgames; hyacinths; cups of tea; Malteasers; cuddles; Buddhism

My bête noires: messiness; waste; stinging nettles; cat hair; having poor eyesight; materialism; noisy neighbours; lateness; fake tan; emptying the bin; grating cheese; apostrophes in the wrong place
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a paralegal for a housing charity. Like to think of myself as a tireless crusader for social justice, but I probably wouldn't do it if they didn't pay me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

If I write a long and impressive list of my literary, filmic and musical favourites will you read it? Right to the end? Probably not. Suffice to say I read, watch stuff, listen to stuff and eat. Sometimes all at the same time.

Like reading fiction, stuff that's entertaining, stuff that makes me think, stuff that allows me to escape, stuff that makes me laugh. Like anything about nuns, monks or the medieval era. Film and TV tastes are the same I guess. Music-wise I like things with a catchy tune or meaningful or clever lyrics. My music taste can sometimes tend towards the melancholy. I like most of the foods that are bad for me, but I more-or-less manage to keep it in moderation and eat some of the good stuff as well.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order: my mum; my cats; books; climbing; laughter; tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether I should be thinking so much about things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Crashed out on the sofa with a book or the TV. Or clinging to a climbing wall. Or something else.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I enjoy Channel 5 'documentaries.'
