I am human, dancer, and everything else.

My Self-Summary

My name is Dominic. I currently reside in Indiana. I go to school at Ivy Tech. I'll be transferring to IUPUI next year.

I like all sorts of things and all sorts of people. I tend to develop interests in unusual things (and people) rather quickly.

I enjoy trying to dance in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Most of the time, I fail. That doesn't stop me from trying.

I like animals, music, trees, rain, clouds, inclement weather, flowers, wrestling, building things, getting out of the house, finding common ground, exploring, adventuring, Scrabble, musicals, gory movies, trivia, kites, bubbles, long walks on the beach, and shiny objects.

I do NOT like political discourse, tabletop roleplaying games, strict adherence to gender roles for their own sake, bickering, deceit, unkindness, and excessive amounts of irrationality.

I am always looking to meet new people and make new friends, and I am in a polyamorous relationship with pi_person and StripedRutabaga, but I am -probably- not interested in having sex with you if I don't know you well or if you ask me for more pictures, cybersex, phonesex, etc.

Sexuality-wise, I would best be described as gay. If you are a man (in gender, not sex), I am effectively a gay man. If you are a woman (again in gender, not sex), I am effectively a lesbian. If you have no gender or orientation, I will match that. I am only attracted to the varying degrees of queerness. Consider it a fetish if you must.

I enjoy sneezing, a lot. F'real.

Also, I am a cyborg.

Also also, I am a pre-hormone, probably-non-op genderqueer FTM. Ask me about my transness.

Postmodernism gets me hot, but I rarely read.

What I’m doing with my life

- travelling
- meeting people
- enjoying the nightlife
- being love and compassion whenever possible
- photographing stuff

I’m really good at

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm fairly gregarious. I am enthusiastic. I am frequently indecisive about little things, as I don't care enough about them to make decisions (examples: what to eat for dinner, what I want to do on my day off, and so on). I can be rather spastic at times, but I am told it can be endearing.

As far as physical traits, I get a lot of comments on my hair. And my ass.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(a) I like beautiful words and beautiful thoughts. What strikes me as beautiful words or ideas may change at any given moment. As mentioned above, postmodernism gets me hot.

(b) The Fountain, Pan's Labyrinth, Orlando, A Life Less Ordinary, Newsies

(c) (Alphabetically Abridged)
Levi Adams, Tori Amos, Bjork, Black Eyed Peas, David Bowie, Bright Eyes, Johnny Cash, Chopin, Patsy Cline, Cruxshadows, the Cure, Dashboard Confessional, John Denver, Neil Diamond, Ani DiFranco, Ditty Bops, Dresden Dolls, Evelyn Evelyn, the Killers, Allison Krauss, Led Zeppelin, Lemonheads, Lords Of Acid, Magnetic Fields, Erin McKeown, Mika, Moxy Fruvous, Jason Mraz, Anne Murray, Julia Nunes, Old Crow Medicine Show, Opeth, Pavement, Pink Floyd, Placebo, The Postal Service, Rammstein, Jul3ia Richard, Rilo Kiley, Scissor Sisters, Simon and Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra, Statler Brothers, They Might Be Giants, Ting Tings, Tool, Thomas Truax, VNV Nation, Voltaire, Rufus Wainwright, Jason Webley, Wild Bill Corney
More generally, tribal drumming, drum and bass, bluegrass, and folk music.

(d) Spaghetti, meat, macaroni and cheese, tuna salad sandwiches, grilled cheese, garlic bread, and other foods a five-year-old might eat. I don't particularly care for gourmet foods. I have simple tastes. I like bread that is crusty on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. I like cream of garlic soup. I am ambivalent to chocolate in bar form or ice cream form, but I love good brownies, fudge, and chocolate chip cookies. I like pickles a lot. I like things that taste good fried with barbeque sauce.

I am not vegan or vegetarian in any way. I don't do anything as a political statement, and I figure my body will tell me what it does and does not want me to put into it. If someone can tell me where I can acquire whole-animal products, however, I will gladly look into it.

The six things I could never do without

Assuming we don't mean food/water/&c:

1. Affectionate Love

2. Passion and beauty (to me, they are the same and therefore count as one thing.)

3. music

4. My functional physiology (not as obvious as food and water)

5. A companion/compatriot/cohort who is like family

6. the stars

I spend a lot of time thinking about

This answer is almost exactly the same as my answer to the previous question.

Throw in a dash of "politics", a pinch of "human nature", a cup of "sex", a gallon of "the gay" and a heaping tablespoon of "nostalgia". Mix well. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake on high for 45 minutes or until crispy.

Serves approximately 6.5 billion.

On a typical Friday night I am

Trying to think of things to do!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

This is a stupid question. I have no secrets.

I suppose the most useful thing to clarify would be that gender fails at me. There are times when I will dress in a very masculine or feminine manner, but usually I dress androgynously. My mannerisms and thought processes are somewhat gender-ambiguous, bordering on masculine. As far as sexually, I prefer to be in the more active role (although I prefer to be pursued, or at least to know that a would-be partner is interested). I require responsiveness in a partner, or I think I am not doing things well. Some people would take this as a challenge, but as I always try my hardest, it just leaves me feeling inadequate.

I sometimes (usually) feel like I should have been born male. That said, I am mostly comfortable with my androgynous personality (I sometimes feel like my testosterone levels are probably close to those of many cismales I know, though I've never been checked) and am considering taking hormones to look more masculine, but I am definitely still in the "considering" stage.

You should message me if

-you feel at all compelled to. I love meeting new people.

-you are capable of independent thought. Having ideas is sexy.

-you like squirrels and/or cats.

-you don't "match" me very well.

-you are fascinated by relatively obscure topics and want to discuss any of them with me.

-I show up on your stalkers list and look interesting.

-you can think of any other reason to.
