(a) I like beautiful words and beautiful thoughts. What strikes me
as beautiful words or ideas may change at any given moment.
Postmodernism gets me hot. Some of my favourite non-postmodern
books include "The Little Prince" (Le Petit Prince), "The Last
Unicorn", and "Jonathan Livingston Seagull".
(b) The Fountain, Cannibal! The Musical, Orlando, A Life Less
Ordinary, Newsies, The Point, Hairspray, Zardoz
(c) I had a snarky response here referencing musicals because I
like musicals more than I like television, but it's probably more
relevant that you know I am a huge fan of BBC Sherlock and Star
Trek: The Next Generation.
As far as radio shows and podcasts, I enjoy Welcome To Night Vale,
Cabin Pressure, and John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme.
(d) Anything I can sing along with and some things I can't.
(e) I have a contentious relationship with food. I tend to say I
like spaghetti, meat, macaroni and cheese, tuna salad sandwiches,
grilled cheese, garlic bread, and other foods a five-year-old might
eat. I don't particularly care for gourmet foods. I have simple
tastes. I like bread that is crusty on the outside and soft and
gooey on the inside. I like cream of garlic soup. I am ambivalent
to chocolate in bar form or ice cream form, but I love good
brownies, fudge, and chocolate chip cookies. I like pickles a lot.
I like things that taste good fried with barbeque sauce. But then,
I don't really like to eat.
I can make some mean golabki. My tomato basil soup isn't bad
either. Recently I taught myself how to make gyoza and I ate almost
nothing other than gyoza for a month straight.
