I am open, enlightened, and hungry.
My Self-Summary
Fairly new to the Fairfax area. The best way I could summarize
myself is as an absolutely self-aware, exuberant, honest, coffee
addicted, creative, goofball! Ultimately, I suppose I joined this
site for posterity, as I have nearly forgotten how the hell a date
works in the first place.
What I’m doing with my life
All I know is that I set out a long time ago to be creative and as
happy as I could be. It's led me many unexpected places and now I'm
currently managing a store that sells hobby based games! It's one
of the best ways I've ever paid bills in my life.
I am also an artist with a strong background in illustration,
caricatures, comics, and murals. It's something I aspire to
continue doing on some level, though it's been a little while since
I've dug in and focused. Right now, I believe I will get back to it
when I can rekindle some inspiration.
I’m really good at
Drawing and being imaginative........it has been my whole life. Mix
in that for whatever reason I've also got a really good knack for
showmanship and entertainment on some level. I tend to be a natural
leader and inspiration, though I never asked to be that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a big guy that most likely appears to be frowning (Can't help
it, it's my natural face when I'm in thought). Also, I have a dry,
sardonic sense of humor that tends to throw people off at first.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
This one's tough.......
Books: I love fantasy, sci-fi, and books on ancient history, but if
persuaded I'll read anything.
Movies: Too numerous to list. I can watch just about anything
except for overtly girly chicks or slow dramas. Always a fan of
action adventure/ good sci-fi and more of the crude type comedies
like 40 Year Old Virgin or Big Lebowski.
Music: I absolutely love Heavy Metal music! It truly fits my
personality, but I will listen to anything and give it a chance. I
grew up with a mix of bluegrass, oldies, showtunes, classic rock,
and pop rock. In recent years my mix has gotten more and more
eclectic.
Food: Yes.
The six things I could never do without
Music, creativity, imagination, my hands and eyes (I'm involved in
way too many creative things to not have those), and my unique
perspective and sense of humor on life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, family, friends, accomplishments, disappointments, death.
On a typical Friday night I am
Because I work so much, I'm most often content to just
chill....maybe drink a couple of beers, have a late dinner, and
build or paint some models. Occasionally, I'll stumble to the bar
across from my pad.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
It eats me up that I have neglected my guitar.
You should message me if
You're open minded, have a winning smile, and don't mind a big
goofy guy who loves his heavy metal music collection and fantasy
parphenalia.
