My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born in S. Korea, raised in Chicago. I love this city for all it's offerings, though winter can be a huge pain in the butt. In the warmer weather, I love to ride and look for any excuse to get on the road. Live music is a big deal for me. Some shows I've been to recently are: New Order, Kraftwerk, and VNV Nation. By no means does this cover my tastes and it's hard to pick and choose sometimes. (Missing Lily Allen and Rakim was a huge bummer...) I have a fairly tight circle of friends and I'm usually the "smart ass". Some of my friends I've kept since grammar school, and I think I'm pretty happy with those around me. What's a nice to have right now is that special someone. Someone whom I can emotionally connect with. That someone I can't wait to see again. So far online dating has been my option because I work in an industry that doesn't lend itself to a lot of single women. (Infrastructure engineer in IT) I'm also not much into hanging out at clubs or bars every weekend. Conversation is better had without a ton of background noise. Anyway, I'd like to meet someone laid back, into trying new things, and have some things in common to base a connection off of.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Pretty much trying to squeeze as much into my day as possible. Looking out for my kids and my career.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The dead pan.

I look exactly like my pictures. o_O
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Harry Potter, Sookie Stackhouse, Game of Thrones. I also read the Walking Dead comic books. It's so much better than the show.
Music: New Wave, Industrial, Electronic Music, Classic Hip Hop, Punk. The Cure is my all time favorite.
Film/TV: Sci-Fi, Horror, Drama, Fantasy. Favorite TV right now is Gotham, The Strain, Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, Sherlock, True Detective, Louie, Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
Food: Indian, Korean, Thai, Chinese, Americana, Italian, Mexican - (I recently went to Veganmania and tried some really amazing vegan cuisine.)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
How do you make this list without sounding cliche or superficial? I'm a social person. I like being around people. I'm also a media junkie. Music in my car, catching up on shows and movies, going to concerts, etc are all good things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Nice weather and traveling.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
This is so random. When I'm out, it's usually for dinner/drinks, the occasional concert/movie, or sometimes working.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I Googled the "Where for art thou" question. I'm sorry.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'm always more comfortable chatting on the phone or face to face over coffee or something. I get it that you want to feel people out using the OKC messaging system. But if screening people for weeks on end via the occasional message with a one sentence reply is all you want to do, please don't waste each other's time. I am using this service to meet people as I'm done with the "pick up" scene and I have a career and kids to think about first. I'm serious about meeting someone that is looking for a relationship and not into the dating by numbers game. So if you are serious about finding someone to develop something with, and can work together to balance life with responsibilities to form something meaningful, please reach out.
