I recently finished my Master's degree at Utah State University
where I have been working as a composition instructor for the last
three years. I'm a bit of a nerd, but definitely not in-your-face
I’m really good at
I'm an intelligent, selfless individual who likes to solve problems
and help others. I'm highly empathetic and pride myself on being
able to see things from various angles and multiple perspectives.
The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing people tend to notice about me is my ponytail, but
that is soon to be gone. I've grown out my hair for the past three
years hoping to donate it, and that day rapidly approaches.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a movie buff, so picking a favorite would be like picking which
limb I'd least like removed from my body. However, a staple in my
collection and the go-to for "favorite movie" inquiries is
Forrest Gump. My favorite book is Phantoms by
Dean Koontz, a quick-and-dirty sci-fi horror novel that was later
adapted into a terrible film starring Ben Affleck. My music palate
is quite broad, but I'm currently on a Marina and the Diamonds
kick. I love exploring different cultures through their various
foods, but sushi will always hold a special place in my heart.
The six things I could never do without
Essentials: my phone, my watch, a pen (preferably Zebra)--I feel
naked without these things. I have a pet rabbit named Krypto, and
my life would seem empty without music or visual media
(film-o-phile here, see above).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind roams from the origin of foreign words to theories on space
and time. At times my mind can be like a sixteen lane superhighway
filled bumper-to-bumper with rush hour traffic. At other times, it
can be quite busy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am, by nature, a traditionalist romantic. I ultimately hope for a
long-term, lasting relationship. However, I have a tendency to
trust others to a fault, often leading to situations where I jump
headfirst into commitment when the other individual is not quite
ready for that level of forward behavior.
You should message me if
I'm an accepting, friendly person. You should message me if you're
curious, interested, infatuated, or even just want to talk. I'm
pretty laid back.
