My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an ambivert (most of the social needs of an extrovert, but also with the crippling awkwardness of an introvert! Excited yet?)

I'm a bit of a nerd, especially when it comes to books, academic type stuff, political issues, and Harry Potter. Unlike many other nerdy types, I don't play a ton of video games. If you do, I'm happy to play (terribly) with you now and then, or watch you play, or read a book next to you while you play.

I'm equally outdoorsy and indoorsy. A good weekend usually involves a day doing something like a walk/hike/swim, and then some Netflixing or board games. I don't want your sheep, though.

I like to invent words, like guggily, which is that feeling of socks being too big for your feet. I think laughing is ridiculously important. I own fuzzy tapir stickers. If you're really nice, maybe I'll give you one.

I'm a wavering INFJ, if that matters to you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved back from Seattle for grad school, and just finished up with a program in School Counseling, and work part time as a tutor while job hunting. Other times I'm eating dino nuggets, or writing/blogging.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Silliness. Volleyball. Baking banana bread. Obsessing about books to read. Math, but apparently no one ever admits this. Remembering people's names. Puzzles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been described equally as silly, sarcastic, and snarky, but those who know me well also know that deep down I'm a big ol' softie. I'm also human-shaped.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Assume that I have met the basic physical needs of a human. And that I am not currently on fire.

1. Things to laugh about.
2. People to laugh about those things with.
3. Books!
4. A comfy pair of sneakers.
5. I hate to admit it, but my computer. For writing, and for communicating with friends who don't live nearby (sadly, most of them!)
6. A water bottle, generally with water in it. I'm a thirsty person.
7. The ability to ignore stupid rules!
8. Tissues. I'm allergic to things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Weird animals, mental health stuff, gender issues. How strange words sound if I repeat them over and over. Dinosaurs. How people discovered weird foods (pineapples?). Baby zoo animals.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Board games, watching a movie, reading, rolling down a hill covered in bubble wrap (okay, that was just twice, but I'd like to do that again), writing, doing a puzzle, or making comics. Anyone want to build a fort?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd like to adopt kids eventually. I think this is mostly because I read a lot of books about orphans as a kid, but also, that whole childbirth thing looks scary.

I once dressed as the Weasley twins. Just me. I built a twin out of hangers, duct tape, and chunks of foam, then wore it like a backpack (that idea came from a 5th grader). I'm not actually remotely embarrassed about this. I kept the twin in my car for the rest of the year to creep people out.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You consider yourself nerdy, geeky, dorky, or the like to some degree. You like to go in the water and not just lie on the beach. You like to ask and answer silly questions. If you know where all of my missing socks are. You want to go to the Harry Potter festival in PA. If you want to share pictures of baby tapirs or otters or other cute animals. If you want to walk dogs at the shelter with me. If you're an INTJ - my people love your people.

Oh, and if you play volleyball. I never have enough interested friends to get a group together for it!
