My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I sometimes (often) nerd out, especially when it comes to books, academic-type stuff, political issues, and Harry Potter.

A good weekend usually involves a day doing something like a walk/hike/swim, and then some Netflixing or board games. I don't want your sheep, though.

I like to invent words, like guggily, which is that feeling of socks being too big for your feet. I own fuzzy tapir stickers. If you're really nice, maybe I'll give you one.

I'm an ambivert (most of the social needs of an extrovert, but also with the crippling awkwardness of an introvert! Excited yet?)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved back from Seattle for grad school, and I'm working in a school as a para to get my foot in the door so I can use my school counseling degree! Other times I am writing/blogging, singing, trying to learn Spanish, or obsessing about things that glow in the dark.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Silliness. Volleyball. Baking banana bread. Obsessing about books to read. Math, but apparently no one ever admits this. Remembering people's names. Puzzles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been described as silly, sarcastic, and snarky, but those who know me well also know that deep down I'm a big ol' softie.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

TV: 30 Rock, Parks & Rec., Arrested Development, Downton Abbey, Boy Meets World, Party Down, Freaks and Geeks, West Wing, getting into Dr. Who lately,British comedies!, etc.

Food: Chinese, pizza, PB & J. guacamole, Indian, soft pretzels, juicy pear jelly beans, garlic bread, artichokes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Assume that I have met the basic physical needs of a human. And that I am not currently on fire.

1. Things to laugh about.
2. People to laugh about those things with.
3. Books!
4. A comfy pair of sneakers.
5. I hate to admit it, but my computer
6. A water bottle, generally with water in it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mental health stuff, gender issues. How strange words sound if I repeat them over and over. Dinosaurs. How people discovered weird foods (pineapples?). Baby zoo animals.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Board games, watching a movie, reading, rolling down a hill covered in bubble wrap, writing, doing a puzzle, or making comics. Anyone want to build a fort?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd like to adopt kids eventually. I think this is mostly because I read a lot of books about orphans as a kid. This seems to be a dealbreaker for some folks, so I might as well bring it up now!
