Books: I love books.
Books are one of the most important things in life. After
trees.
I have shelves full of books I feel I should read, and books for
escapism and baths. My favorite writer is probably
Laurie Lee because he writes so
very beautifully.
Pratchett for flights.
I am struggling through a
Hemmingway at the moment, and have a
Murakami to start
next - update
Kafka on the Shore was
awesome. I have about 6 books on the go at any one time.
I love the kindness and gentleness of Alexander Mcall-Smith, and
re-read
Tolkien
every now and again.
George
Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London.
Katherine
Kerr for lazy baths.
Wendy Cope for
intelligent poetry. Yeats, Dylan Thomas,
Pablo Neruda
Asimov,
Heinlein,
Carl Sagan for thinking about
space and laws of robotics.
I will finish Madela's autobiography before I die.
Hopefully.
Arvo Párt
and
Ludovico
Einaudi,
Olafur Arnalds for solitude and
reflection.
Sigur Rós
and
Tori Amos
for train journeys
Muse and
Nirvana for driving
(fast)
James Taylor
and
Jimi
Hendrix for road trips
LastFm.
The Unthanks
Listen to the Testimony of Patience Kershaw and I defy you to not
be moved.
Jonny
Kearney and
Lucy Farrell for a bit of lovely
folk.
I am mildly obsessed by
Iceland and
cheese.
