So this is where I'm supposed to give you a description of myself. Well, I can try and give you the basics, but I have to say that I believe that once one gets to know another person better, it is for both to find out what the other person is like. I find that to be more interesting than just trying to summarize everything, because learning about the other person never gets boring. But anyways, here's a few very general things:
I've been living in DC for a few years now, but recently I moved back to my home country. I am finishing up work on my Ph.D. (almost done!), and after that I hope to pursue an academic career. I love to meet new and inspiring people, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm out every night. I value quality rather than quantity. I enjoy listening to music (it depends on the genre, though), and I also play myself. I also enjoy reading, cooking, baking, hanging out with friends, exploring sights, museums, and other interesting spots. For my free time, I usually don't have a specific concept; I'm up for almost everything that sounds like fun, like watching a movie (together with friends or alone, although together with friends is more fun), spending quality time with friends, talking about random things, going for a walk or to the zoo, deep and meaningful conversations ... you name it, and who knows, I might say yes. I love to travel (as far as money and time allow) and have been to a few places; I'd love to go to new places as well as go back to places where I've been and which I liked.
I believe that, although email is a great advantage of our era, there are some times and seasons that call for an old-fashioned, handwritten letter. I don't mean to downgrade email, and I'm not saying that I'm opposed to it. But I think it's nice every once in a while to write a letter to someone you like, and of course, likewise to get a letter from such a person.
I would say that I have a great sense of humor and can find something funny in almost every situation. It's usually a dry kind of humor, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes just ironic. I love wordplays.
So much for the general picture. You want to know more, drop me a line.
