My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Here’s a bunch of stuff about me that’s worth knowing:

I moved from northern New Jersey (just outside NYC) to Seattle almost 5 years ago. It took some getting used to; it was like moving to another planet. However I’ve really come to love this city and I’m happy to call it home.
I spent about 10 years working in the independent film world back in New York. I had a lot of great times and I got a lot of good stories out of it. I wrote and directed a documentary that went national and I’m very proud of that. When that life stopped being fun and got to be a hassle, I decided I needed a change of pace so I sold or gave away almost everything I owned, packed up my dog and moved out here. New York City indie filmmaker may sound cooler, but Seattle bartender is the better life (yay health insurance!).

I’ve been single for most of my time here. I’ve made some killer friends and dated a bunch, but nothing really serious, romantically speaking. I guess I needed a lot of alone time. No point in moving 3000 miles if I wasn’t going to work on myself and grow and try and be a better man.

I’m a pretty happy and easy going guy. I tend to have kind of a wicked sense of humor and don’t think I’ve lost my east coast edge (at least not the good parts).

It may be unpopular here in the PNW, but I am not an outdoorsy type. If you want to take me hiking or camping I’m certainly not opposed and I’m sure we’ll have fun, but I’d much rather be catching a movie, hitting happy hour or playing pinball with you.

I’m a little bit of a film geek.

I prefer that our first encounter be a relaxed, t-shirt and jeans kind of thing. Let’s a have a drink, get some dinner or catch a show. I think that just hanging out and talking is the best way to get to know one another. We can get dressed up and fancy later (note: I’m not a fan of suits and ties. I used to have to wear them for work a lot, but now it’s strictly for weddings and funerals).

I dig tattoos, rock ‘n’ roll, scary movies, reading and hanging out with my dog.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a good sense of humor, want to have some fun, you're laid back and fairly liberal, you're not a bigot; you want to stay up late watching a scary movie, having a beer and making out.
