My self-summary

I'm a smart, goofy and quite geeky student. I'm a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, computer programming and computer gaming. I enjoy math puzzles, board games, and reading. I am a pianist and a singer.

I am imaginative, insightful, and empathetic
What I’m doing with my life
I've got a new job, and more offers coming in so that I don't know what I'm doing. I came to Ottawa for this one, but am afraid of being whisked off again. I don't want that, I like Ottawa.
I’m really good at
Computer programming, and computer gaming. I also dabble at piano. I'm a pro board gamer. I play a pretty mean hand of Holdem, but only in person, not online. Also, if you want to challenge me to a battle of wits, I suggest you bring it.
The first things people usually notice about me
People notice quickly that I'm very open, that is, I am able to share my personal details freely, if people care to hear about them. People seem to see something in me that makes them trust me, so people are willing to open up to me.

Just so people know, they can trust me. I'm a vault.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

a) Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, Terry Pratchett, Alexandre Dumas and a few other period authors. I just finished Ted Rogers' autobiography (free employee copy) and am working on Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth (rich story but a little graphic)

b) Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Training Day and anything with Cary Elwes in it.

c) Piano music, Barenaked Ladies, Great Big Sea, Arrogant worms, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bubl, classic rock and retro.

d) My ideal meal comes in "hunks". Give me a roast beast prepared with onions, carrots and potatoes, a hunk of bread, a hunk of cheese, some butter and a tall glass of OJ and I'm a happy lad.

e) Family Guy, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Law and Order, House

f) Homestarrunner.com, Newgrounds.com, wiki

g) Civilization IV, World of Warcraft (on hiatus), Guitar Hero,Rock Band, Portal, and Team Fortress 2

h)I love good structured comedy e.g. George Carlin or Chris Rock. I get really annoyed by dumb comedy e.g. Will Ferrell, South Park.

The six things I could never do without
1. My family - They're a bunch of fools and thus provide endless entertainment. Oh yeah, and theres love and support etc.

2. My computer - So much entertainment

3. Food - Other than the obvious life-giving qualities, I love food made with real food... you know... vegetables and cheese and milk and such.

4. Paper - I have odd ideas at odd times. Its important that I can record them in a horribly disorganised fashion on a medium that is easily losable.

5. Music - Having songs stuck in my head provides hours of desire to get a different song stuck in my head. (Song of the month: Still Alive - Jonathan Coulton)

6. A project - I have about 12 on the go. I think if I ran out of projects to wonder about, I'd either go mad, or discover the secrets of nuclear fusion.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All these projects. I'm jumping around from the computer game I'm making, to the board game I'm making, to the book I'm writing (like Brian on Family Guy is writing) and back and forth so quickly. When I get home from work, its just too much to think about that stuff, and I need to veg and watch TV or movies.
On a typical Friday night I am
I just rolled into town, so hard to say. Before this I'd be advising my step siblings on life. Sometimes they have friends over and I enjoy saying creepy things to them. I'm certainly not watching the Daily Show or Colbert, cause they decided not to be on Fridays for some reason. I'd often make attempts to get together with my brothers or roadtrip to mums.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm way too open for my own good. I tend to embarass myself by speaking too openly.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–48
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're a geek who likes arguing pointess things. Also, you should be a strong critical thinker. If you believe everything you are told, I will suggest that I am a ninja.
