My self-summary
I am the very model of a modern major nerd.

Beyond that, I'm a guy with a weird/morbid sense of humour, a love of studying current affairs and hoovering up random knowledge about _anything_, and if I can flip between quiet & chatty like a very enthusiastic Edward Hyde.

There's a lot of fun, interesting people out there in the world, and I'm here because I'd like to meet more of them! Have done both monogamous and non-monogamous/polyamorous/the human centipede, whichever term is in vogue (probably not "the human centipede").
What I’m doing with my life
Career wise: tech-support shifts, with first-aid volunteer work in my spare time

Free-time: Going "oooh, that looks interesting" at random books & comics and skimming through them in a frenzy; monthly Rock Band kareoke meet-ups with friends; talking about things that definitely made sense when we all started, I swear to god.
I’m really good at
If I need to get something done or dig something up, I will keep on at it like a bastard. I'd like to think I'm reliable when people need me. And retaining facts that I hoovered up from somewhere and can't remember where.

And I know what to do about sucking chest wounds, but luckily I've not been 'tested' on that one!
The first things people usually notice about me
According to a passing car recently, "OI HARRY POTTER!!!"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
All subject to random change:

Books: The Man In The High Castle and Martian Time-Slip (Philip K Dick); Small Gods and Only You Can Save Mankind (Terry Pratchett); Comeback Tour (Kim Newman); Operation Mincemeat (Ben Macintyre); It (Stephen King); Scott Andrew's Schools Out trilogy; Marr's Modern Britain history series; Spike Milligan's war memoirs

Films: Scott Pilgrim VS The World; Toy Story trilogy; Threads; This Is England; La Haine; Gremlins 1 and 2; Shusuke Kaneko's Gamera trilogy; Dog Soldiers and Doomsday; The Cabin In The Woods; The Long Good Friday

Shows: The Wire; Regular Show; The Young Ones; Doctor Who; Spaced; The League of Gentlemen; Have I Got News For You; Buffy/Angel; Farscape; Gravity Falls; Daria and Beavis and Butt-head; MLP Friendship Is Magic (yeah, yeah)

Music: Tori Amos; Iron Maiden; My Chemical Romance; Garbage; Biffy Clyro; Weird Al; Jonathan Coulton; Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds; Lyndsey Stirling; Bastille
On a typical Friday night I am
Half the time, doing a bloody night shift! When I'm off, I'm often in unless friends are doing something
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Dogs freak me the FUCK OUT.

You should message me if
If you know the comic strip I stole my name from, you can message me even if you're a rage-infested velociraptor.

In fact, if you're a rage-infested velociraptor, message me anyway.
