My Self-Summary
I'm Tres. As much as I try to avoid stereotypes, I'm a bit of a
geek. I play a lot of
video games,
read lots of science and science fiction books, and even
watch a little bit of anime. I have a degree in physics, I love music, and I know more card games than just
about anyone I know. I consider myself pretty laid back and
accepting of people (a friend of mine once said that if I don't
like someone, then there is something seriously wrong with that
person). I love new people and new things.
Oh, and I find it funny how the only section that this site seems to require me to fill in is the section that I usually leave blank on any other site...

What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm working as an R&D Tech with a startup company,
designing easier (and more humane) methods of identification for
lab animals. It's good times... flexible hours, and I get to learn
a lot about different ways to automate things. An ideal entry level
job for a tech-nerd.
I’m really good at
Fixing things. Not planning things. Improvising. Finding my way.
Packing everything into one container. Baking cookies. Cooking
anything with an open fire.
The first things people usually notice about me
Hopefully my gender... I've been told that I have cool eyes,
though. I've also been told repeatedly that I look like Matt Damon
(by complete strangers, even). I guess I'm starting to believe
it.
Personality wise, people probably notice that I'm rather easy-going... I don't get upset easily.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I'm a sci-fi nut. Asimov, Heinlein, Bradbury, etc. I'll read
just about anything, though. Lately I've been getting into Carl
Sagan and Neil Gaiman.
Movies: The Fifth Element, The Mummy, Serenity, the original Star Wars trilogy, The Princess Bride, Shaun of the Dead, Snatch, A Fistful of Dollars (which really should just be named "Clint Eastwood is Too Badass to be Allowed"), Blade Runner, anything by Monty Python, Sin City, and 12 Monkeys, to name a few.

On a typical Friday night I am
Either out with friends, or at someones house enjoying food and
drink. Doesn't matter what we're doing, so long as I get away from
the computer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm really shy about starting conversations with people I don't
know. I'm working on changing that. I also realize because I wrote
that down here, it's not private anymore.
