Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I know The first sentence is important, but I can't think of a good
one right now. So here's me in random order:
- I am funny. I just realized this a few years ago.
- I am optimistic and happy by nature.
- I like trying new things (food, destinations, activities) as long
as I can take a shower and don't have to pee in the woods.
- I prefer to read things that are properly punctuated.
- I think silver hair and bald head are sexy.
- I sometimes get paged in the middle of the night. It's rare, but
- I don't believe in anything supernatural. This includes the
concept of "soul mate". I think a good relationship needs work and
doesn't happen magically. Nor can it be maintained magically. Kind
of like six pack abs.
-I'm a New Yorker by choice. Came to the city for a 2-month course,
and 2 weeks into it decided I'll never leave. That was 8 years ago.
Lived in Toronto for a few years before that, and will give extra
points if you can guess my original hometown.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working (and really loving it), traveling, cooking, skiing,
swimming, socializing with friends and giving hope.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I smile a lot. Seems like I can't help it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Anything by Gabriel García Márquez, Alba de Céspedes, Romain
Rolland. I read many of the classics as a teenager, Hamlet (and had
a crush on him for a while), Iliad and Odyssey and so on, and
somehow managed to do this while listening to Madonna and
TV shows that I'm obsessed with: Newsroom and Game of Thrones. TV
shows that I watch, but not obsessively: Mad Men, Homeland, Modern
Family. Also love all the nerds on the Big Bang Theory. And Frasier
Music? Jazz and rock. My new obsession is Preservation Hall Jazz
Band. Also anything with a strong violin. And Pink Floyd.
Food? I'm a great cook. The best cook. Feeding people is my hobby.
My apartment is where friends gather to watch the Super Bowl, the
Oscars, the Grammys and anything else I allow them to while sipping
home made margaritas and licking the crumbs off their hors d'oeuvre
plates. I'm quite adventurous when it comes to food and will eat
anything out of a food truck, excepts for insects.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Fairness (is that a "thing"?)
I guess also air and water, for drinking and swimming. And coffee.
And caramel flavored ice cream.
A clean, uncluttered place to live in.
I can do without, but really enjoy Sunday afternoon naps.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes sing in the car.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'm looking for that elusive man who is brainy but also a little
edgy, is kind and responsible but also has a bad boy streak. A
scientist with a tattoo sort of person...
I only read messages from profiles that have pictures. Unless you
work for CIA or MI6.
P.S. If "Middle-eastern" sounds scary to you rather than exotic,
maybe you wanna sit this one out :o)
