My self-summary
I like to refer to myself as a part-time poet, explorer and radio nerd. But if that isn't enough, I give you an introduction of me using small details (like the beginning of Amélie):

I love the words quintessence and kismet. I dislike empty walls. If I had a catch phrase, it would probably be Pun Always Intended. When I own pets again, my cat will be named Tolstoy or Titian la Kitten and my dog will be Barkolomeo or Bramlet Abercrombie. It seems I also like alliteration. I love stepping on crunchy leaves (who doesn't?) and I'm obsessed with Radiolab.

I think that sums it up.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a grad student in Arts Administration at the University of Oregon with a focus in Community Arts Management. I basically love all art forms but my focus right now is on storytelling and radio.
I’m really good at
Laughing. I love to laugh. So, I surround myself with hilarious people.

Urban exploring!! And by that I guess I mean exploring the culture of an urban environment. I've a little obsession with trying to do everything around me. If you have any suggestions of places I need to check out in Eugene, please let me know!!

writing? Well, I'm working on being really good at it.

I have a writing blog where I post some works and I also have a MetaphorADay twitter where I post a short poem everyday.
The first things people usually notice about me
I used to say my sense of style but then I moved to Oregon where everyone dresses like a bohemian.

My enthusiasm. "Let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure."

Maybe's it's just my curly hair. What do you think?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have a very long list of favorites but I'm going to try to keep it to the rule of three, for mystery! And science.

Books: Everything is Illuminated. Jonathan Strange. Harry Potter. I was actually on a muggle quidditch team in college. Goooo O.W.L.S. (Original Wizarding League of Spartans)!!! Or authors: Jonathan Safran Foer, Christopher Moore and Aimee Bender

Web Comics: Dinosaur Comics, A Softer World, and Questionable Content.

Movies: Well my younger self wants me to say Lord of the Rings, but actually by 3 favorite movies are probably: Pan's Labyrinth, Babel and Revolutionary Road though there are many other contenders.

TV: Firefly all the way! Then Dexter and Parks & Rec. Such consistently good shows. And it feels like a sin not to include Daily Show somewhere in here.

Music: This is hardest for me to pick just 3 because I think the more you love music, the more music you love. So instead I will offer some highlights:
Favorite album: Thao & Mirah
Favorite Concert: Well I can't say Thao again, so Gogol Bordello or Pink Martini. Kind of on opposite spectrums.
Song I May Never Get Tired Of: Contact High by Architecture in Helsinki or Baby I'm Yours by Breakbot
Musician I Wish I Could See: Louis Armstrong
Guilty (not so guilty) Pleasure: Justin Timberlake
One Room Dance Party Music: The Black Kids
Favorite Singer: Camille (basically the Bjork of France)
My Favorite Hometown Band: The Wild Reeds
I have a playlist called LOL Jams that brings me great joy.
Okay I think that's enough.

Podcasts: This is even harder because radio is my thang but if I had to pick it would be Radiolab, How to Do Everything, and Wiretap. Though I've just been getting into this radio drama show called The Truth and I can't stop listening to it.

Food: I will admit it, I'm a foodie. I love anything unique, homemade or gourmet so I'll pick my favorite restaurants: Screen Door in PDX, Pasta Piatti in Ashland and Morning Glory, also in Ashland. Oh and I'm vegetarian but not extremely strict about it.

Theater: I also really love theater. One of my favorite things to do is go see a play. I don't know if I can pick my top 3 but I do go the Oregon Shakespeare Festival every year and not just for Shakespeare!
The six things I could never do without
1) my friends
2) culture
3) adventure!
4) the environment
5) laughter
6) delicious food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How much easier my life would be if I could teleport. Then how chaotic the world would be if we could actually teleport. I have this idea that there should be teleportation depots at similar named streets like go from one 1st St to the next 1st St. Somewhat controlled chaos. At least strangers or worse relatives wouldn't be popping up in your house all the time.

There are so many things to do in life. So, I spend a lot of time thinking about how to best use my time (thus wasting time). Again, teleportation would help.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well that all depends on what is happening Friday night. Know of something radtaculur?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a big celebrity crush on Darren Criss. Any Very Potter Musical fans out there?

Also, I can rap all of Gold Digger by heart. I'm actually quite proud that I can pull this off. I recently added Thrift Shop and Same Love to my repertoire. Whatcha know about rocking a wolf on your noggin?

You think we share some similar interests and you're ready for Adventure Time!

If your idea of a perfect Lazy Sunday involves making breakfast and listening to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, then you are made of solid gold stars. Or if you like to go to concerts and dance your ass off even if they're outdoors, then I salute your steppin' it up, steppin' it up to the streets. Or if you have a great punny name for a roller derby or quidditch team, then you must tell me immediately!
