I like to refer to myself as a part-time poet, explorer and radio lover. But if that isn't enough, I give you an introduction of me using small details (like the beginning of Amélie):

I love the word quintessence. I dislike empty walls. A pun will always make me laugh. If I were to own a pet again, my cat would be named Tolstoy or Titian the Kitten and my dog would be Barkolomeo or Maximilien Robespierre. I love stepping on crunchy leaves (who doesn't?) and I'm obsessed with Radiolab.

I think that sums it up.

I'm a grad student in Arts Administration at the University of Oregon with a focus in Community Arts Management. My interest is in community cultural development and collaborative storytelling. Want to know more? Ask me about it!

I have a very long list of favorites but here's a few:

Books: I love anything written by Jonathan Safran Foer especially Everything is Illuminated. Jonathan Strange, Ender's Game, A Visit from the Goon Squad, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Life of Pi, The Lovely Bones, Lord of the Rings. Also, Harry Potter of course. I was actually on a muggle quidditch team in college. Goooo O.W.L.S. (Original Wizarding League of Spartans)!!!

Web Comics: Dinosaur Comics, A Softer World, and Questionable Content.

Podcasts: Radiolab, This American Life, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, The Moth, How to Do Everything, StoryCorps, Stuff You Missed in History, Snap Judgement, Third Coast International Audio Festival and I'm always looking for more!

Movies: I was a big Lord of the Rings geek back in the day, but I still love them (also the books). Other favorites include: Pan's Labyrinth, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Stage Beauty, Brick, Revolutionary Road, Babel, Amelie, The Brothers Bloom, The Darjeeling Limited, The Lost Skeleton of Cadavera, Burn After Reading, Away We Go, and many more.

TV: Firefly all the way! Also Doctor Who, The Daily Show, Pushing Daisies, Buffy, Parks and Recreation, Veronica Mars, Dexter, Community, Flight of the Conchords, Arrested Development, and a few more.

Music: I really like people who experiment with their voice, because they're way more fun to sing! My favorites are: Camille, Regina Spektor, Laura Stevenson & the Cans, Iron & Wine, The Black Kids, The Wild Reeds, Thao & Mirah/Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Kings of Convenience, Pink Martini, Andrew Bird, The Shins, Louis Armstrong, the Dirty Projectors, Architecture in Helsinki, Vampire Weekend, Beirut, Sufjan Stevens, Tune-Yards, Yeasayer and a lot more.

Food: I like to cook when I find the time. I love all types of food but I particularly love Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, Thai, and good old home-style cooking. Also, I'm vegetarian btw.

Theater: I also really love theater. One of my favorite things to do is go see a play.

There are so many things to do in life. So, I spend a lot of time thinking about how to best use my time (thus wasting time). Again, teleportation would help.

Also, I can rap all of Gold Digger by heart. I'm actually quite proud that I can pull this off. I recently added Thrift Shop and Same Love to my repertoire. Whatcha know about rocking a wolf on your noggin?
